Banja Luka extends Air Serbia subsidy deal

NEWS FLASH

The government of the entity of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina has obliged the public operator of Banja Luka Airport, Aerodromi Republike Srpske, to extend a ground handling agreement with the Serbian national carrier. The operator will cover Air Serbia's airport costs and fees from December 1, 2016 until November 30, 2017, the government said in a statement. The same terms and conditions will be applied as previous years. The subsidies will be provided from the entity budget, although the exact figure has not been made public. It will mark the third year the airport has been covering Air Serbia's expenses on its route between Belgrade and Banja Luka. The Serbian carrier is the only airline operating scheduled flights to Bosnia and Herzegovina's second largest city.

  4. I think that "the airport has been covering Air Serbia's expenses on its route between Belgrade and Banja Luka" is a bit misleading. What's more correct is that they are not charging them anything at BNX (ground handling and airport fees)

What are the standard 'ground handling and airport fees' , if there is such thing at BNX ?
Would authorities, by any chance, grant 5th freedom to an airline flying to/from BNX to let's say Vienna ?
