Pristina Airport has registered its busiest year on record in 2017 by handling 1.887.402 passengers, representing an increase of 8.3%. In December alone, the airport welcomed 150.641 travellers through its doors, up 11.7%. on the year before. Some airlines have announced plans to either increase frequencies or introduce new flights to Pristina in 2018. Furthermore, the airport has previously announced plans to extend its runways and taxiways, as well as upgrade its Instrument Landing System (ILS) during the year.
