Adria hiring pilots and first officers

Adria Airways is seeking to recruit both male and female pilots and first officers for its incoming Saab 2000 turboprop aircraft. Minimum requirements for pilots include an EASA Air Transport Pilot License, a total of 4.000 hours as captain, knowledge of English and a recommendation letter. Those applying for a first officer position require an EASA Frozen Air Transport Pilot License or a regular Air Transport Pilot License, a total of 1.000 hours on aircraft with a minimum takeoff weight of over18.000 kg and 250 hours as first officer on the Saab 2000 turboprops, as well as a knowledge of English and a recommendation letter.

Interested candidates have until May 31 to submit their applications. Further details and the application forms can be found here.

    Well, they have been looking for SAAB pilots for quite some time on their website so this is nothing new.

    Anyway, we will see what's what in the coming week when the SAAB conundrum will finally be resolved in Switzerland. I am highly doubtful they will be able to find crews for SAABs.

    But then one can ask oneself, why are they pushing so hard for a couple of pieces of old metal for which it is highly unluckly to find crews? A washing mashine jumps to mind ...
