China Southern Airlines celebrates Belgrade launch

NEWS FLASH

China Southern Airlines has marked last week's launch of its Guangzhou - Belgrade service with an event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade. It was attended by China Southern’s Deputy General Manager, Qu Guangji, the Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou, head of the Chinese city’s Culture and Tourism Bureau, Belgrade Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Miodrag Mirković, as well representatives from the Serbian Ministry for Culture and Information, and the Ministry for Internal and Foreign Trade. Mr Qu, noted, “The opening of this route not only provides a more convenient travel option for passengers from China and Serbia, but also further promotes exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, and culture. The opening of this route will further strengthen air connectivity between China and Serbia, and provide a more convenient way of travel for businesspeople, international students and travel enthusiasts”. Maintaining a two-weekly service between the two cities with its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the carrier has seen strong loads between the two cities so far. As part of its launch, China Southern Airlines has put on sale promotional return fares for under 500 euros from Belgrade to destinations in China, Japan and South Korea. These fares are available for travel until late March 2025, with certain black-out periods in late December and late January of next year.

So China Southern hosts this event while all of JU management is in China.
Just shows how little they care about JU, same as HU.

Just because picture of the cake was not shown, you make assumptions it didn't exist. You have a lot to learn.

Does it mean they will consider scheduling flights for summer 2025?

    1. VINCI has a new group-wide policy of not organising water cannon salutes, although details as to why I am not sure. There are no photos as no media event was organised, upon the airline's request (neither in Guangzhou for the departing flight or Belgrade for the arrival). It should be noted that China Southern Airlines waited to issue a press release about the new route until yesterday when Air Serbia announced its planned partnership with the airline, and China Southern also issued a similar press release. Therefore, it seems to have been coordinated between the two. China Southern has posted a short video with some images from the inaugural flight on its Weibo account.

I flew from BEG to WAW. Have to say people here are real haters and they must not enjoy all the improvements at that airport, it was very clean and bathrooms up to the standards. Everything was very well functioning and I loved new duty free area. Warsaw airport for example was not that clean and bathrooms were stinky.
