easyJet holds talks with Montenegro's PM

easyJet’s Senior Manager for Airport Development, Gary Butler, has held talks with Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Milojko Spajić, and the head of operator Airports of Montenegro, Roko Tolić, to discuss the airline’s seasonal operations in the country. The budget carrier will continue to operate six routes to Tivat this year, connecting Berlin, Bristol, Geneva, London Gatwick, London Luton, and Manchester. Looking ahead, easyJet is exploring opportunities for expansion in Montenegro in the coming years. “For the six routes announced this summer, nearly 200.000 seats will be available to potential passengers. Additionally, easyJet has expressed their willingness to discuss a future expansion of their network of destinations with us”, Mr Tolić said. He added, “Today's meeting with one of the company's leaders, Gary Butler, is part of a broader set of measures Airports of Montenegro is implementing to ensure improved connectivity for Montenegro in the coming years, which both citizens and the government expect from the Airports of Montenegro”. Prime Minister Spajić noted, “We have ambitious plans to improve Montenegro’s air connectivity. In the coming period, we will make strategic decisions about the future of our airports and enhance their infrastructure. We want credible partners. Our goal is to make Montenegro a significantly more accessible and competitive air destination. easyJet’s affordable flights operating over an extended season, from early spring to late October are important to us”. easyJet carried 132.000 passengers on its Tivat flights in 2024.
