NEWS FLASH
Romanian national carrier TAROM plans to increase frequencies between Bucharest and Belgrade next summer season. The carrier has scheduled five weekly flights on the route from April, up from the two to three weekly services maintained over the 2024 summer season, with exception to May when there were four weekly rotations. The carrier will deploy the 72-seat ATR72-600 aircraft on most flights, although eighteen rotations have been scheduled on the slightly smaller 68-seat ATR72-500 aircraft next summer. TAROM’s flights will be complemented by Air Serbia’s eleven weekly rotations between the two capitals.
Finally
ReplyDeleteTheir scheduling is extremely weird, so I wouldn't count on their increases yet. Many flights were simply cancelled in the network once they realised the loads are low.
ReplyDeleteI recall that back in 2019 we were almost exclusively using RO for our trips to BUH - they had more frequencies than JU, and also they had an extra convenient morning departure that was somewhere around just after 9.
ReplyDeleteNowadays - JU improved so so much on this route, and are indeed leading it by all means...
And JU is still stuck and not expanding anywhere in Romania.
ReplyDeleteStuck with over twice as many rotations AFTER the RO increase?!
DeleteYes, JU market share will decre4ase with RO increasing flights and JU staying the same.
DeleteAir Serbia adds more transfer destinations such as Shanghai tomorrow night. More transfer options will attracting additional passengers from Romania.
DeleteHello, Iasi, Suceava, Oradea, Cluj, where are all those cities?
DeleteIn the meantime they're flying to 9 places in Croatia!
9 place in Croatia? AIRserbia or Tarom?
DeleteNice to see them being still alive! Hah
ReplyDeleteDo AirSerbia and Tarom have code share agreement?
ReplyDeleteYes they do
DeleteTarom will likely not survive much longer. They are really on the ropes. And such a shame that JU doesn't try at least to fly to one or two regional Romanian destinations, Brašov, Iasi being great examples
