Dubrovnik – New York via London

Dubrovnik Airport passenger terminal
Dubrovnik has been attacked by snow storms this week but passengers wishing to travel to New York and tourists from the United States wishing to visit the historic Croatian seaside town have received some good news. British Airways has launched a limited edition discount rate on its flights between New York and Dubrovnik. All travellers booking before the end of March will be entitled to the special price of 140 Euros for a return ticket (or 405 Euros including all taxes and airport charges). The outbound flight from Dubrovnik involves a one-night stopover at one of London Gatwick Airport's hotels - which is provided free of charge by British Airways. Return flights from New York to the Croatian city are direct, meaning passangers will immidietly proceed to their London – Duborvnik flights after landing from New York. Flights at this price can be booked in advanced, but passangers must leave by July 3, 2009. Tickets for the low-fare route can be purchased from Dubrovnik's British Airways office, travel agencies or through the airline’s website.

Dubrovnik will have a tough year as it will have to deal with the global financial crisis and sliding tourist vistor numbers. In January the airport saw passanger numbers slide by 9.4%. However many airline’s have anounced seasonal summer flights to the city which should bring optimism to airport authorities. Aer Lingus, Austrian Airlines, Blue1, Clickair, Croatia Airlines, easyJet, Estonian Air, Germanwings, Iberia, Jet2.com, Lufthansa, Luxair, Norweigan Air Shuttle and TUIfly have all announced seasonal summer destinations to and from Duborvnik.
