More challenges ahead for Adria
Adria Airways CEO, Klemen Boštjančič, has said that Adria can expect another “dramatic year” as the airline prepares for privatisation. The Slovenian government has a 70% stake in the carrier while banks hold the other 30%, as of last year. However, the banks want to sell their shares as soon as possible and only agreed to take part in the deal so Adria could avoid bankruptcy. The plan is for a tender to find a strategic partner for the Slovenian carrier to begin later this year and for the sale agreement to be finalised in the second quarter of 2013. With Lufthansa tied with many investments in Europe, Adria expects to see interest from Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Etihad Airways. All are looking to invest in Europe. Qatar Airways was recently locked in takeover talks with Spanair, which ultimately failed, Etihad recently bought a large stake in airBerlin, while Turkish Airlines is eyeing Poland’s LOT.Despite a tough year ahead, Boštjančič notes that most of the hard work has been done with the suspension of high profile routes and other cost cutting measures already implemented. “Closing the route to Paris and London was a huge media and political story. We constantly hear from people that say because we received money from the government we should continue flying to those destinations. We have to explain to these people that we got the money from the government to stop flying unprofitable routes. There are a lot of people who really don’t get it”, Boštjančič said in a recent interview to CAPA. However, one more major obstacle remains before Adria’s restructuring programme can be deemed a success. It concerns the airline’s fleet rationalisation plans. “Clearly 2012 will be another critical year”, Adria’s CEO concludes.
As the first month of 2012 passes by Adria has already announced the resumption of seasonal flights to London, Barcelona and Manchester and has launched new flights from Priština to Verona. It also plans to significantly increase its frequencies from Priština to Frankfurt during this summer season so as to retain its place as the busiest carrier operating out of Priština. Back at home, this January, Adria holds a massive 77.5% share of all departures and arrivals out of Ljubljana Airport. Its closest rival, easyJet, managed only 8.2% and this share is set to tumble during the summer as the airline suspends flights from Paris.
serbia and slovenia can make their own airline, like SAS, and to start to make some profit; intercontinental flights, good european network, meditarrennean routes ets, etc... we are such small countries to have national airline companies. but of course, its just my imagination.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem for Adria is that they have a small market. They relied a lot on transit pax from ex-Yu countries but now more and more airlines are flying to the region and less people are transiting through LJU. I actually think it’s wise that they made a base in PRN because it was the only way they could get more passengers. They also should have made a base in Skopje when MAT went bankrupt. Now it’s too late.
ReplyDeletethe main problem for Adria is not the right yield management and even not the right marketing.
ReplyDeleteThe 'dramatic year' isn't helped by the simple fact that JP still doesn't have the right fleet for its destinations.
ReplyDeleteIt has *almost* right-sized from 320s to 319s at the larger end, but still has 6 thirsty CR2s (which cost a lot to run now that fuel is expensive) especially on the short hops that they are mostly used for. The solution potentially comes from the manufacturer itself: Bombardier offering to trade the CR2s in for Q400s which offer superior economics, slightly more capacity and lower fuel consumption.
It also has to ask serious questions about which markets it is trying to serve: local O&D, connecting pax from exYU to W.Europe (of which they should add services to SPU or DBV), or as the tourism arm of the government. They are too small to try being all these simultaneously, and that's the problem...
Interestingly, JP also has an office in Zagreb promoting their flights, but no dedicated bus/van service to LJU to encourage such potential extra passengers wanting to fly. The two cities/airports are close enough (2hrs) to try to tap an adjoining, growing market...
@ Stefan
Interesting point re PRN. While we know the subsidies provided for the BNX service were lucrative (but not lucrative enough given the low figures), no comments have ever been made re where the money is coming for these flights.
Some strongly believe their hard-earned dollars are subsidising an off-shore loss-making venture. Whether this is true or not has never been established...
Adria is selling cheaper tickets for the Priština - Ljubljana - Brussels route than for the Ljubljana - Brussels route. Same flight Ljubljana - Bruxelles: sam ticket conditions, same class.
ReplyDeleteAnd Slovenian tax payers are paying Adria because is vital for Slovenia what the f.?
Pristina - Munich direct is less expensive tham Ljubljana - Munich.
It was an offer ok.
But Adria national government public airline ... are you playing for who?
For Slovenians for sure not!
Making Pristina - Verona direct regular on the last minut. What planning?
Cancell Banja Luka then again Banja Luka than again cancel. Short notice what the aim?
Flying to London Luton low budget destination no connecting flights. What for?
Talking about Russia tourists but overcharging on the Ljubljana - Moscow route because no competition.
HAVING 2 Airbus 319 and 2 Airbus 320 SLEEPING GROUNDED in January. Most of the days just a flight or two and only one or two aircrafts in the air daily.
How can yo umake money whith this?
I can write here one additiona hour.
Who will be this Qatar Airways for sure not!
LJU-BRU is sponsored by the EU....
ReplyDeletethis gets obvious on Friday evening and Sunday/Monday morning flights.... flights have good loads with nice yields and even business class has up to 10-15 bookings.....
ZAG has now 6 flights a weeks to BRU. All with DH4. Wait until they July 2013, than this figure will increase...
Zagreb-LJU airport, there is a bus running, operated by Adria Airways.
But most of the destinations u have out of LJU, you have out of ZAG too. So don t see a reason to drive 2 hours extra via LJU just to save maybe 50 EUR if even or vice versa
I also have my doubts that LH will engage them in Slovenia. If in ex YU than either Croatian, Belgrade market or even an airline who covers the entire region. But before the problems with OS are not sorted out plus local problems with the airlines, politics, economy here in our region, there is not much enthuiasm from LH side to step in here.
Adria should focus on the following destinations:
ZRH,BRU,MUC,VIE,AMS,CPH,FRA,SVO
ex YU plus summer destinations like MAN,BCN.
I can t understand that CDG and LON are not profitable, but they have cut both of them, so they will know why. I doubt that LTN will work for them.
IST they should code-share TK flights.
get rid of the A320, keep the A319s and 4 CRJ9 and find a solution for the CRJ2. I think a fleet of 8-9 a/c is enough for them.
And no need to be fully involved in Slovenias Charter biz. It can t be that half of the year A319/A320 fleet is in service and half not. Just the employment of the crews is too expensive for such fun
Marketing/Rev Mgt needs to be improved. For example on 27JAN they went public for PRN-VRN flights. 1 day ahead of the flights.. how stupid is that..
@Anonymous 12:36
ReplyDeleteWhy do you tell lies?
"Adria is selling cheaper tickets for the Priština - Ljubljana - Brussels route than for the Ljubljana - Brussels route. Same flight Ljubljana - Bruxelles: sam ticket conditions, same class.
And Slovenian tax payers are paying Adria because is vital for Slovenia what the f.?"
PRN-BRU via LJU costs 340€ return 31JUL-6AUG
LJU-BRU costs 285€ return same dates (even before, it costs the same)
ZAG-BRU costs 211€ return note DH4 operating, you can provide a bit cheaper tickets. same date.
"Pristina - Munich direct is less expensive tham Ljubljana - Munich.
It was an offer ok.
But Adria national government public airline ... are you playing for who?
For Slovenians for sure not!"
True, but you forgot price is based on A319 with 135 seats, during summer they were packed full. PRN-MUC 1 daily, while LJU-MUC 3 times daily with expensier CRJ2/9
If LJU-MUC was daily, and loads were strangely still good (but that can not be done in RL) and A319 was deployed, with LF80% or better, tickets could be like 120€ around return.
"Making Pristina - Verona direct regular on the last minut. What planning?"
I thought the same but this flights are sold, as they were operated by Meridiana before, Adria just got their PAX, sunday flights was full 135 pax one way, other 115. Tmrw 110+ both ways.
"Cancell Banja Luka then again Banja Luka than again cancel. Short notice what the aim?"
That was all due to SkySrpska as you know, they paid for the flights =).
"Flying to London Luton low budget destination no connecting flights. What for?"
True, but can you tell me how many connecting pax was before?
I can tell you, there was almost none, at least not on the same ticket. Most of the pax is London based or turists. You have enaugh transfer points like VIE MUC FRA BRU ZRH.
"Talking about Russia tourists but overcharging on the Ljubljana - Moscow route because no competition."
LJU-SVO 287€ return 31MAY-6JUN for 3 hour flight ?!? that is a lot? come on.
Loads on SVO routes are good, if tickets were expensive, I am sure there would be no pax.
SVO-ZAG return sam dates Aeroflot 329€ so pleas?
"HAVING 2 Airbus 319 and 2 Airbus 320 SLEEPING GROUNDED in January. Most of the days just a flight or two and only one or two aircrafts in the air daily.
How can yo umake money whith this?"
One of the A320 was retunned to lessor and was stored since October, monthly cost of the leasing was approx 90k€, do not make a high drama out of it, second one had c-check (AAS) so =)
But A319, both cost 600k€ per motnh, this is a big problem, CEO himself reports that, becuase of them (mostly), 8M loss is predicted for 2012.
"I can write here one additiona hour."
I am sure you can write same kind of lies all day, but pleas, write FACTS!!! Check reservation system before making a statement. For persons like you, I would bring you before the cort.
"Who will be this Qatar Airways for sure not!"
If anyone can understand this, pleas translate to me, thanks!
@ JU520
ReplyDeleteQuite agree with you, though I still think one plane could be based @ PRN and serve like
PRN-MUC-SKP-MUC-PRN-FRA-PRN
or something in this way, though the summer times for PRN are much better, there can be 3rd departure around 18:00 now.
Or even a new plane can be based at SKP.
But the main problem is that Adria can not fly to ZRH from PRN, SKP etc. Which I think is the biggest market?
A319 are hard to fill during winter as you know, but they are quite needed during summer.
Though the best solution would be, to sell all three older A320 and to buy 2 A320 in range of serial number 2500 (approx date of manufactureyear 2005), which could run during summer here, and could be leased out during winter to other continents.
As nobody wants 135 seaters for charters, and planes are new and expensive + charter compaines run A319 with 156 seats or 144 more commonly seen.
I think this was even bigger mistake than buying a CRJ2 in 1996 whwen it was popular and run good till 2005.
About transfering CRJ2 to Bombardier and buying a DH4, nice story but you need MONEY for that.
So either leasing or older DH4.
With leasing, you cant get rid of CRJ2 and older DH4 are ..... =D =D
Read pprune or nice story at Croatia virtual forum.
@sky
ReplyDeleteagree with you in regards to PRN.
I think Kosovo is well minded to Slovenia for several reasons and that s probably also the reason why they can take part on the PRN biz to Germany and VRN.
ex YU is important for JP, there is lot of commercial trade between Slovenia and former YU republics and connections are needed, especially also for the future, when economies are further picking up. Also TGD/SKP/PRN/BEG are far enough from LJU to justify flights.
SJJ is so la la (at least passenger figures), but still I would stay there.
Unfortunately regular flights to SPU have proven not to be succesful. They tried last year again and loads were not well. OU has enough flights SPU-ZAG and even direct to places like FRA etc. Besides that foreign carriers have connections to SPU.
A319/A320/CR2 fully share your opinion :-)
do u work for JP to have such good insight of JP?
To Sky 1.all prices from www.adria.si reservation system (1-2 weeks ago some now) 1a.PRN-LJU-BRU is cheaper than LJU-BRU for Feb,Mar DOn't talk about August: MANY THINGS CAN CHANGE till them 2a. e.g. PRN-Verona direct was sold 2 weeks ago (for flights start tomorrow)for over 300 euro round. NOw same flight dep tom is 180 euro. Put PRN-Verona-PRN dates close tomorrow and next days and back after a week or two.
ReplyDeleteAdria price policy it's changing all the time. 2b.Gasoline CR on Lj-MUC is less than gasoline on Airbus319 PRN-MUC..unless you lower prices and higher load.Which is low PRN-MUC right now. So the promo. But remember: JP is PAID MOSTLY BY TAXPAYERS IN SLO THEIR REVENUE FROM FLYING IS LOW COMPARED TO TAXPAYERS MONEY INCOME (HELPS). Few exemptions profitable routes e.g. BRU-no competition-(but profit because OVERPAID SEATS ON FLIGHT, PAID IN ADVANCE, BOUGHT IN BLOCK, BIG BUSINESS for JP for SLo missions to Bru).IT'S A ROBBERY that tickets paid in block (there was a call for this last year for a few years contract between Slo government and JP for certain large amount of seats available -big money-) and assured in advance for few years for Slo delegations going to Bru(politicians, secretaries, representatives on mission) ARE MOST EXPENSIVE that special offer PRN-Lj-BRU.It's robbery of Slo public money. Ok no competition of this route. But you know why? because requrements of a bid are made "JP only". New bid is coming out in Nov 2011 ending in Dec 2011 ... but candidates airline must already fly in the winter schedule 2011-2012. How can anyone other apply for this? Bids must be done WELL IN ADVANCE. Not in Dec 11 and starting in Jan 12. The Slo public bid on this issue it's just a formality because JP must win the bid. It's the so called "sure money".It's already counted in the entrances of JP in advance.
3a. Most of Rus arriving to SLo are NOT flying direct to Slo they are flying other countries first. Just some agency travels, business paid tickests are done by Adria. DO you know why no other is flying from SVo or restof Russia to Lju? Lju airport-JP is not offering competitive conditions for them (cost at airport, no incentives and JP happy not to have someone to compete with). Rus in Slo must be loads (termal, business) of them much more if a better connection more airlines from Moscow flight e.g. from S.Pet.DO you know how they sky rock prices on Lju-SVO route in summer? Not everyone can buy 6 months in advance. Many people can decide to come to Slo at shorter notice before paying premium.
4a.c-check Airbus320 ok.
But 4sure you know IT's COMPLETLY NORMAL NOW AND LAST YEARS TOO EVERY YEAR IN WINTER big birds of Adria ARE SLEEPING GROUNDED VERY MUCH. IT'S NOT NEWS. At least Airbus 319 we both agree.
5a. Luton is a bad choice. Connecting pax it's part of visibility in UK.LHR or Gatwich is not Star Alliance Hub but still. Why LJ-London was not profitable before (from Gatwich) and Luton now will be? It's that the Olympic games competitors, delegations, sponsors etc. will need to fly this flight at hight prices. No worry paid by taxpayers?
6a. So 100% as of now Qatar airways will not buy nothing in from JP. Many things need to change to make JP interesting for an informed potential buyer.
7a A serious airline has some planning mid-time long time etc. for destinations, marketing of new destinations make stronger old ties
But JP is coming out with winter svhedule 2011-12 at the last minute. Put in put out Bucharest,Roma before et. short notice.Changing all the time. Not serious for an airline. We cancel Istambul. We don't. Yes we cancel we don'r an so on. Tic for cancelled connect in winter schedule still on sale few weeks before cancellation. It's not serious for Star All.
Few buying JP tickets well in advance.. because how many expensive reroutings with other airlines must be done to fulfill the contracts.
We can have some strategical planning for the future. JP actions are not showing it!
Everyone knows that with 4-coupon tickets to mostly ethnic destinations you can't make money. That's why CSA and Malev are in deep, deep red. Get rid of the transit traffic and concentrate on point to point!
ReplyDeleteSKY
ReplyDelete1. Adria Ljubljana - Bruxelles is more expensive than Priština _ Ljubljana - Bruxelles. In February and March. Check at JP homepage.
We can't talk for August. JP prices are changing all the time
Priština- Verona round is cheaper if bought today compared to 2 weeks ago (same flights just starting tomorrow)
2. Priština - Munich low load in winter so special offer to put it up. Petrol price for Airbus319 and
CEJ not relevant in this case.
3. Banja Luka subvensions it's just "instant money" not strategy.
4.Airbus 319 and Airbus 320 UNDERUSED in winter FLYING BEADLY LITTLE. JP big birds always sleeping i nwinter not 1 time this year
5. Most tourists and other visitors from Russia not flying direct to Slovenia. Big potrntial there.
August ticket with Jp bought later o nvery expensive every year. Not everyone buying specials or well in advance. Better price policy for Moscow.
6. Qatar airways not interested i nJP as of now. If thing change (dream) maybe.
7. JP INCOME IS COMING MOSTLY FROM PUBLIC MONEY SUBVENTIONS HELPS AND NOT FROM OPERATIONAL INCOME BY FLYING.
Few routes are profitable.
Ljubljana - Brussels is one.
BUT BUT because SLovenia taxpayers money is buying seats in advance for Ljubljana- Bruxelles flights.
It's multi mil eurio business for few years.
Winner of public bid in Slovenia (last call out Nov 2011 till December 2011 for flights after mid January 2012) is assured seats at "most competitive" prices (NOT! BECAUSE PRISTINA - LJUBLJANA - BRUXELLES can be cheaper than LJUBLJANA - BRUXELLES, same flight ,same category of seat-conditions, DIFFERENT BASIC PRICE FROM PRISTINA OR LJUBLJANA) for Slovenia public officials a large amout of seats (economy and business) on LJU-Bruxelles flights.
But no one can compete except JP. It's JP sure money because condition is you are already flying the route in winter calendar 2011-2012 ... and the call is coming out i nNovember 2011. Who can apply?
JP only.
8. Why GAtwich was not profitable and Luton now will be? Luton no connecting flights not god for national airline to show there visibility etc.
Maybe because Slovenia taxpayers will buy overpriced seats for Olimpic Sportists, delegates, staff, sponsors etc for London 2012?
It's JP so called "sure mone" they count as income i nadvance.

ReplyDeleteyou are so right !
Your last sentence is fact !
Also CSA and Malev are not only deep in red...i think they will follow path of Spanair .
Spanair is only the begin of a murderous year for airlines.
JP definitely is one of them !
Only solution for them is to merge with OU after Croatia comes in EU !
But this will happen maybe too late...lets see.
JP should try to open new company Adria Express or Adriawings with OU and JU - everyone of them gives 1 aircraft with 180 seats. Balkan lowcosts. Activate: Maribor, Osijek, Rijeka, Ohrid, Niš, Kraljevo and connect with diaspora cities: Rome,Verona,Milano,Dusseldorf,Hamburg, Stuttgart, Lyon, Marseille, Barcelona, Madrid, Porto and Lisbon. They could take over the whole bus traffic between LIS and BUH.
ReplyDeleteI like todays posts!
ReplyDeleteEverybody has something to say,
some views very optimistic ,some more pessimistic, the truth i think lies in between these extremes.
And yes,i agree with that 2012 will become T H E definitive year for JP
in regard to its very existence.
Even the so called better airlines will have a hard stance.
I think government backing will be crucial for a lot airlines survival!
Above all reasons for JP's underperformance mentioned in the comments stands the reason of all reasons: that JP is majority-owned and managed by a government.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's hard to see the forest for the trees.
"1. Adria Ljubljana - Bruxelles is more expensive than Priština _ Ljubljana - Bruxelles. In February and March. Check at JP homepage.
ReplyDeleteWe can't talk for August. JP prices are changing all the time"
Heh so prices are not qul when I tell them and are ok when you select them one week afer today, which you know that planes are booked and higher prices are only available but still:
LJU-BRU 4-9FEB 285€ same as during the summer
"Priština- Verona round is cheaper if bought today compared to 2 weeks ago (same flights just starting tomorrow)"
As you said, route is just beeing started so give them a week or two and report what is available now not was was avilable (if, though I saw tickets around 300€ too 0.0).
"2. Priština - Munich low load in winter so special offer to put it up. Petrol price for Airbus319 and
CEJ not relevant in this case."
I agree and CRJ9 is mostly on this routes during this months, well lowering prices to get pax from other airlines,
you can make huge loss or a bit lower one.
But you must look the whole year and the future of this routes.
Note that PRN is not connected by LX or LH, just OS for this case and JP directly to MUC FRA LJU and OU via ZAG, so this deal is a good one long run.
There is not a route that makes profit from day 1.
"3. Banja Luka subvensions it's just "instant money" not strategy."
Yes but still was not Adria's fault about the schedule.
"4.Airbus 319 and Airbus 320 UNDERUSED in winter FLYING BEADLY LITTLE. JP big birds always sleeping i nwinter not 1 time this year"
Agree, main problem! But like I wrote above, nobody want A319 which are new and therefore much expensier than A320 built before and really old 733 etc... So Adria can not compete with new fleet 0.0 strange to say but even Ryanair has not started with new B738.
"5. Most tourists and other visitors from Russia not flying direct to Slovenia. Big potrntial there.
August ticket with Jp bought later o nvery expensive every year. Not everyone buying specials or well in advance. Better price policy for Moscow."
Umm so not true man, Adria transfered 2 A319 + A320 during first weeks of January, packed with Russians on the way to Slovenian resorts.
And it is not any different this weeks or any other. And prices still lower than Aeroflot to ZAG (even in high season).
"6. Qatar airways not interested i nJP as of now. If thing change (dream) maybe."
I do not even know why it would be, that 'press' thing which went up previous year was a huge mistake.
"7. JP INCOME IS COMING MOSTLY FROM PUBLIC MONEY SUBVENTIONS HELPS AND NOT FROM OPERATIONAL INCOME BY FLYING.
ReplyDeleteFew routes are profitable.
Ljubljana - Brussels is one."
Adria makes annually cca 150M€ of income, there were years of even more income.
Totally Adria got around 65M€ in past 10 years (correct me if I am mistaken hugely), do not know what was going on 1991-2000. Note that what banks transfered I am not counting.
So talking that Adria's income is mostly from the goverment help is just, unserious =)
Over BRU route, what do you want to say, that Adria should fly this route with loss so that goverment can help again or what?
And yes it is safe money, but tell me, in which country, there is other airline flying to BRU than its national airline, is not this logical =) ? That slovenian goverment pays to national airline?
"8. Why GAtwich was not profitable and Luton now will be? Luton no connecting flights not god for national airline to show there visibility etc.
Maybe because Slovenia taxpayers will buy overpriced seats for Olimpic Sportists, delegates, staff, sponsors etc for London 2012?
It's JP so called "sure mone" they count as income i nadvance."
Easy one, becuase LGW was flown during witner with really poor loads. LTN is for now plannes just during summer with one less flights per week than last year; tickest are cheap though you can still find a bit cheaper with EZY but overall things are moving FWD with adria, still there should be more options - I got a combination for 88€ but I got one for 1000 on JP flights return so, there is some problem.
And to add, I think that flights with one stop are a bit of history becuase fares are today so low, that most of them are airport taxes only o.0
so with non stop flights you save 2 airport taxes which range at the end 30-40€ which at tickets around 200€ means a lot.
@JU520
nope I do not work for JP but I have some friends
but I would love to wrok in fleet/route planning department =)
Forgot about PRN-BRU route 5-9FEB
ReplyDeleteit is the lowest 199, than around 290€
So it is true, but for sure there wont be a lot of tickets bought as BRU-PRN nonstop during the summer was quite poorly loaded. It is just a good price, do you know how many can be taken for that price?
While I think LJU-BRU almost all economy class has the same price.
Oh SKY !
ReplyDeleteIt is nice that flights from
Pristina are a hit...
but then make your advertisement
in Albanian language !
That i would call customer
service .
"We get the taxpayers money to cut unprofitable routes"...
facepalm !?
"Dear kids ! Stop eating candies
and fatty meals...have a diet !
If you succeed we will reward you with cakes and potato chips !"
77.5% share!!!! That's massive. Adria has the least competition out of all the ex-yu airlines. If they can't make it with such a monopoly then the market probably is too small.
ReplyDeleteCEO of Adria is an idiot!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with Kekec point

Off-topic:
ReplyDeleteThe Civil Aviation Authority of Kosovo has officially released the 2011 statistics on passengers and flights at Adem Jashari Airport:
PRN 2011 Stats.
PRN has reached 1,422,302 passengers (up by 8.95%), leaving both DBV and SPU behind. This figure represents more than doubling of the passenger difference between PRN and DBV compared to 2010.
If LJU has not recorded an increase in passenger numbers (1,388,651 in 2010) then PRN becomes the third busiest airport in the former Yugoslavia region.
Also worth noting, the air carrier with most passengers in 2011 at PRN is Edelweiss (Swiss), followed by Adria Airways, Belair (Air Berlin), Austrian Airlines and Belle Air Europe. Germanwings with its extensive network out of PRN only managed 6th place.
PRN numbers are no surprise...
ReplyDeletemain destination is Switzerland.
Kosovo had 1,7 mio residents
in 2011?
Half of them are in fact residing
in Switzerland and EU and only
come back to Kosovo to visit
family and/or take part in
so called "census"!
Well sorry, but Malev is bancrupt! Just read and watch hungarian TV. The airline has no money as from midnight to pay aircraft leases.
ReplyDeleteThe government may establish a new BUD-based carrier that will be free of Malev debt and obligations!
Agree too with Kekec.
ReplyDeleteThis is the year "to make it or break it" for Adria. Time will show.
I have seen in another blog that someone is considering LH as "boss" of Adria.
ReplyDeleteIf it like this Why tickets Ljubljana - Germany - ex. Asia so much more expensive then Italy (Spain, Austria, etc.) - Germany - ex. Asia.
Why departing from Ljubljana always so much more expensive. Even with "regular" prices it's 300 and more euros cheaper to fly e.g. from Trieste (Ronchi)...
And when there is a promo -all Europe LH- you have Trieste (Venice) - Germany (if Trieste starting point ts also Munich - Frankfurt included) - (Shenyang - Qungdao and bak for only 399 euro from Venice and around 425 euro from Trieste (with Munich Frankfurt leg included) ... and Ljubljana is offering "insane" 900 eu plus for same flight and category of ticket.
399 eu is from Spain too, 450 around is from Germany or Austria.
So the QUESTION
WHY Lufthansa prices ex- Slovenia more than double and more than from Austria or Italy (AirDolomiti or LH 1. leg)?????
Why LH no real offers ex Ljubljana?
Why Lh even if no special offer more expensive a lott!!! than fly ex anywhere else with LH -connecting in Germany-???
It's so ANNOYING.
Thank you for insight.
