NEWS FLASH
Adria Airways will suspend operations between Olsztyn in northern Poland to Munich just four months after the route was launched. The move comes amid poor loads. Adria's last flight is scheduled for October 28. Ticket sales have been discontinued thereafter. This summer, the Slovenian national carrier introduced three new routes from Poland, including flights from Lodz and Rzeszow to Paris, in addition to the Olsztyn service. Adria has previously announced it will discontinue flights between Ljubljana and Berlin this winter. The route will be maintained on a seasonal basis and resume during the summer of 2017.
What a shocker.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it was trial and error? It seems as if the new management has no idea what they're doing.
ReplyDeleteI guess Lodz will follow as soon as they stop subsidising Adria. What the hell is the new owner up to?! I didn't realise that airlines could make money by NOT flying airplanes.
ReplyDeleteAdria to end Ljubljana operations soon.
ReplyDeleteThis was a good one. :D
DeleteThe writing's on the wall - Adria will go bankrupt in a couple of weeks. Management has no plan, they bought the company for a million euros, they earned more than that through salaries and consultancy fees. Once one of the creditors (Petrol, Fraport, Slovenia Control) starts demanding payments, Adria will close the door.
