NEWS FLASH
Podgorica Airport has recorded strong passenger growth during the first seven months of the year. It registered 461.835 travellers during the January - July period, of which 240.424 were departing passengers, and the remaining 221.411 arriving. The figure represents growth of 14.7% on 2015. The number of aircraft movements stood at 3.410, up 9.3%. Podgorica Airport is now close to overtaking Sarajevo as the ninth busiest in the former Yugoslavia, a title it held several years ago. Podgorica is expected to record further growth in August with Wizz Air recently launching two new routes to the city and Ryanair set to follow with a new service in early September.
Wow impressive growth! Now it`s only 5K difference between SJJ and TGD. Does anyone know what is the busiest foreign carrier at Podgorica? JU or TK maybe?
ReplyDeleteTK operates twice a day, against JU's three times.
DeleteTGD...The next Balkans success after Skp?
ReplyDeleteKeep 'em coming :) The only problem might be potential unsustainability of MA.
ReplyDeleteMaybe u can help ;) I booked a (very) cheap flight with Wizz and now im wondering about public transport from the airport. Wiki says there is a Bus (Linija 20) that connects the airport with city center but i can hardly find any infos about it. I really want to avoid the airport taxi mafia. What do you recommend? (I dont mind walking a bit to get on some public bus as i will have not much luggage) Thx
ReplyDeleteYou can use HALO TAXI who would charge you 5/6euros from airport to downtown. You can request the cab via viber, as there is free wi-fi on the Podgorica Airport.

There is a bus that runs hourly. (07:00-21:00 in front of terminal building) Tickets are purchased in the bus and cost 2 Eur one-way.
