Serbia - Hong Kong ink Air Service Agreement

NEWS FLASH

Serbia and Hong Kong signed an Air Service Agreement in Belgrade yesterday, regulating air traffic between each other’s territories. The deal, signed between Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlović, and Hong Kong’s Secretary for Transport and Housing, Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, will allow Air Serbia to place its flight numbers and designator code onto Etihad Airways’ services between Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong as part of a codeshare agreement. “Apart from this agreement, for us it is important to share experiences, especially in the aviation sector, since the future development of Belgrade Airport is one of our priorities”, Ms Mihajlović said. As previously reported, Hong Kong-based Friedmann Pacific, which owns China Aircraft Leasing Group, the country’s largest aircraft operating leaser, is believed to be interested in vying for a concession of Belgrade Airport.
