Air Serbia hiring Boeing pilots

NEWS FLASH


Air Serbia is seeking qualified type rated captains and first officers on B737-300 to -900 series aircraft for its dedicated Aviolet charter brand. General requirements include a valid EASA flight crew licensing, Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate (CAD) or validated license acceptable to Serbian CAD, class I medical and English language proficiency. Further terms and conditions can be found here. The application deadline has been set for February 13.

      if they were "falling apart", they wouldn't be hiring or pilots would be engaged in a "white strike" like is happening elsewhere.

      If you want to see unprofessional recruitment, look at Adria. The ad was published on 18th January, deadline for application was 27th January.

      And of course, mandatory knowledge of Slovenian language.

      i Lufthansa trazi da znas nemacki jezik...aeroflot da znas ruski itd itd....
      samo arapske, kineske avikompanije traze pilote gde je dovoljno da pricaju engleski jer nemaju dovoljno domacih pilota.....

      According to EU basic rights within the single market, a company cannot request that you have to be native speaker, unless it is required by the duty of your work.

      I don't know any single reason why a pilot should need to know the local language. Manuals, rules, procedures, callouts, briefings, everything is in English.

      Especially when you fly from PRN to FRA, what good does Slovenian language help you in that case?

      They do NOT require you to be a native speaker but to have knowledge of the language. Significant difference.
      ...it may something to do with how good one will fit in the company*s culture as well as how stabile and lasting will be one's engagement in the company... but the way of protectionism as well...

      Easy Jet's Switzerland, probably one of the most wanted employers among pilots in Europe, last add was open for exactly 3 days. There's nothing wrong with that. All they need to do is to full-up a pool...

      I'm thinking same that they are bringing back the 733 back to mainline. Probably because JU are cash strapped and the 733 are a cheaper option.

      A company that has $1b in plane orders is cash strapped. Now I've heard everything.
      Even if they have some liquidity issues they can get balance sheet based crediting with no issues considering their size.
