The Abu Dhabi-based Al Dahra Holding has expressed interest in building a cargo centre at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport. The company, which specialises in the cultivation, production and trading of animal feed and essential human food commodities, plans to invest in Serbia and has discussed the construction of a cargo logistics base at Belgrade Airport with the country's Prime Minister at the World Economic Forum in Davos last week. "We are ready to do anything that is good for Serbia. We wish to develop our agricultural industry and for this we have big plans. The topic of discussion was the model for the privatisation of the PKB Corporation, as well as the construction of a cargo centre at Belgrade Airport and the acquisition of more companies in Serbia", the Vice Chairman of Al Dahra Holding, Khadim Abdulla Al Darei, said. Belgrade Airport handled a record 13.939.099 kilograms of cargo in 2016, an increase of 6.7% on the year before. Turkish Airlines Cargo, European Air Transport and Swiftair maintain scheduled cargo flights to Belgrade, while a number of other carriers run ad-hoc charters.
But they know nothing about the aviation or airport business, they never did anything similar, why would their bid be taken seriously?
ReplyDeleteBecause they are "negotiating" with Vučić... who likewise, knows nothing of statecraft or state-building beyond what foreigners tell him to do and who then pat him on the head and sing sweet praise for being such a good boy.
