Croatian charter carrier Trade Air has secured a contract with Swiss start-up PowdAir for the 2017/18 winter season. Plans for the new airline dedicated to the winter snowsports market were announced in Switzerland last week. PowdAir is due to begin operations in December, offering direct flights from six airports in the United Kingdom, as well as Rotterdam and Brussels, to Sion, the capital of the Valais canton. PowdAir will wetlease Trade Air's Fokker 100 aircraft and fly five days per week, from Thursday to Monday. The airline will pursue its own Air Operator Certificate to enable it to run its own flights for the following season.

  2. If this proves to be successful, maybe Trade Air could lease some OU planes during the winter.
