NEWS FLASH
Swiss International Air Lines will upgrade its seasonal summer flights between Zurich and Niš to year-round operations, the "Airlineroute" portal reports. Flights will be maintained past October 29 twice per week, each Friday and Sunday. Services on Friday will run in the morning with the Bombardier CS100 aircraft, while Sunday flights will be maintained in the afternoons with the Airbus A320. Tickets are yet to be put on sale for the 2017/18 winter season. The airline will compete directly against Germania Flug, which recently announced plans it would run its Niš flights throughout the winter twice per week as well. Another novelty at Niš Constantine the Great Airport during the upcoming winter season will be Ryanair's recently announced new service from Stockholm Skavsta. Niš Airport anticipates handling over 310.000 passengers this year.
This is great news for the airport as it has secured TWO different carriers on the route. This year they are definitely coming close to 400.000. Let's see if Wizz Air announces something besides the increases to DTM and BSL, both went from two to three weekly
ReplyDeleteSorry, but DTM is not scheduled for three weekly => only Basel
DeleteDTM doesn't operate throughout the whole summer, just on some days.
DeleteJust a couple of years here, we could see here the comments that Nis has no market for either LC or legacy carriers. Where are all these people now? Wheres the management of ¨national airline¨ who claimed that Nis has no potential for them? Well done INI!
ReplyDeleteNe lupetaj.
@Anon 11:51 Povremeni saobracaj? Molim te daj mi definisi sta to znaci? Nis ima kontinuirani avio saobracaj dve najvece low cost avio kompanije u Evropi + Swiss-a i Germania Flug.
Bravno Nis!
NIS - GATWICK MOLIM ILI NIS PARIS
ReplyDeleteIt's nice for Nis having secured year-long flights to Zurich and that many flights in general. But the passenger handling has to improve massively. Passport control takes far to long, security check far to long, in-building service is poor, general quality is poor. they need to become by far more professional...
ReplyDeleteGreat news for Niš and the south!
ReplyDeleteBad news for Air Belgrade....
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, IT MIGHT JUST COME TRUE. :)
Srecno bg, srecno nis....
ReplyDeleteMore good news, BSL's third weekly flight will be kept in winter too.
ReplyDeleteSo far we have additional flights to:
2 weekly to Stockholm on Ryanair
1 weekly to Basel on Wizz Air
2 weekly to Zurich on Swiss
1 weekly to Zurich on Germania
That represent an additional six weekly frequencies on four airlines. :O
