NEWS FLASH
The Mayors of Sarajevo and Beijing have discussed the establishment of flights between the two cities. The head of Beijing, Chen Jining, showed particular interest in the matter, noting that services between the two capitals would significantly boost tourism. The two sides agreed for the relevant authorities from each country to continue talks over potential flights. Bosnia and Herzegovina is set to join Serbia and Montenegro in a regional tourism initiative aimed at attracting Chinese travellers. Currently, tourists arriving on Hainan Airlines' recently launched service to Belgrade continue their journey to Montenegro following several days in Serbia. Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to become the third destination on the tour of the region which will offer a "Paths of Walter" package based on the Yugoslav Partisan film "Walter Defends Sarajevo", which is to this day immensely popular in China.

ReplyDeleteBravo Sarajevo!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how Chinese tourists reach Montenegro? Do they fly or do they take the bus?
ReplyDeleteBus. 4 days in Serbia, 5 days in Montenegro
DeleteThey start in Belgrade then go to Zlatibor, Žabljak, Nikšić, Podgorica and Montenegrin coast (ofcourse those that want this sort of package with Montenegro included)
Thank you. I suppose they also come back by bus?
DeleteThis is opposite of comments made few days ago when Hainan arrived at Belgrade airport. Comments were made about Chinese tours staying only in Serbia.
DeleteNo, for months it has been said that the Serbian government has joined forces with Montenegro and was trying to get Bosnia onboard to. Its been even published here. But tourists have the option to stay in Serbia only. There are several tour packages. And Chinese generally never stay in one place. Even when they go to much bigger tourist destinations then Serbia they don't stay more than 3-4 days.
DeleteAnd I just checked the news from a few days ago and I didn't see anyone claiming what you wrote. What they did claim is that they are coming to visit Serbia while some were writing how there is nothing to see there.
It's the same like when ASL started JFK and suddenly everyone wants to have NYC as well. Remember how people were talking on this site that ZAG would get NYC and that it would be a French airline or something.
ReplyDeleteFor SJJ, I would recommend first trying to get flights to Paris, London, Frankfurt.
If Serbia is the only country in Europe that abolished visas with China how can Chinese tourists enter Montenegro ? Visa free also or with some small procedures on the border?
ReplyDeleteMontenegro has eased visa requirements for Chinese citizens and Bosnia and China will abolish visas sometime next year.
