NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia will increase operations on its flagship service between Belgrade and New York to six per week next summer season. The Serbian carrier will add an additional weekly flight each Wednesday morning starting June 20. Air Serbia maintains the route with its 254-seat Airbus A330-200 jet, featuring eighteen seats in business and the remaining 236 in economy class. Commenting on its New York service earlier this year, Air Serbia told EX-YU Aviation News, “It is satisfying to see that the mix of traffic on this route is balanced, with 47% of guests originating from North America and 53% coming from Europe. The reaction from the Serbian diaspora in North America has been exceptionally positive, as predicted, and the service has also been welcomed with open arms by communities from other countries of the former Yugoslavia". It added, "The flight has captured strong travel demand from countries neighbouring Serbia, with high volumes of connecting traffic from Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Macedonia and Croatia. This has driven the growth of tourism arrivals from America, and we are particularly seeing a large number of holidaymakers who are combining a visit to Belgrade with an onward trip to the Adriatic coast". Over the year, the Serbian carrier has concluded partnerships with jetBlue, which allows passengers to connect from Belgrade to major cities across the States with one stop in New York, as well as American Airlines, which has opened up travel options for passengers flying to the mid-West and cities which are heavily populated with people who originate from the Balkans, such as Cleveland.
OK, so for sure no YYZ :(
ReplyDeleteNo but you can connect with JetBlue.
Delete2nd a330, bee ready!

DeleteSajam turizam, sigurno. Do tada ništa zvanično.
Deletekad bese sajam turizma u 2018?
DeleteWhy is Air Serbia still keeping Toronto flights secret? It's in the open now, makes no sense to deny it. They can only benefit from making tickets available for sale sooner rather than later.
DeleteLast minute details. Will make official announcement soon. Don't want to be caught with their pants down. This time they want to have absolutely all of the paperwork approved.
DeletePotražnja, i tačka.

ReplyDeleteDo they fly 4 p. week during holiday season?
Yes. 4 weekly flights from 15 December - 12 January
Moja ekipa prijatelja i ja uzasno nestrpljivo cekamo BEG-YYZ-BEG. kad i ako bude uspostavljeno. na prvom letu sam i to u Biznisu! lol
DeleteIskreno se nadamo.
DeleteGood news to utilise the aircraft more !
ReplyDeleteThe only true legacy carrier in ex-Yu. Bravo JU.
ReplyDeleteYou mean boutique airline, or is hybrid airline?
DeleteGotcha
DeleteBy the way, Air Serbia has cancelled Monday flights during next February and March, only two flights weekly will remain then. The same for November and December next year.
ReplyDeleteThose seats look outdated.
ReplyDeleteThey are not. They look much better in person and very similar to what you will get from many larger airlines.
