Etihad Cargo launches Belgrade service

Etihad Airways' cargo division, Etihad Cargo, has commenced a new scheduled one weekly service from Abu Dhabi and East Midlands Airport to Belgrade. The flights are run by the airline's Boeing 777-200F freighter jet, which has a net payload of 100 tonnes. It operates with the routing Abu Dhabi - East Midlands - Belgrade - Abu Dhabi, arriving in the Serbian capital on Wednesday mornings. Belgrade Airport sees a number of scheduled cargo flights including those by Turkish Airlines. During the first quarter, Belgrade Airport processed 4.791.712 kilograms to cargo, which is up 29.6% on last year. In 2017 it handled the highest volume of cargo among airports in the former Yugoslavia.

      for separate cargo flights they should start smoothly by converting an AT7 into a freighter to sense the market first. As the demand grows, there should come bigger birds.

    Seems like the charter season has arrived. First JU charter flight leaves tomorrow at 06.00 to Corfu.
