NEWS FLASH
One of Croatia's smallest airports has seen its passenger numbers grow 78% during the first half of the year. Brač Airport welcomed 8.960 travellers through its doors during the six-month period, despite the number of aircraft movements improving just 0.4% to 693. However, the airport initially set a target to handle 47.000 passengers this year. This summer, Adria Airways introduced flights from Ljubljana to Brač, Switzerland’s SkyWork Airlines commenced services from Bern, while Luxair added operations from Luxembourg in May. Due to congestion at Split Airport, TUIfly increased its seasonal services from Brussels and Deauville to Brač and launched new flights from Rotterdam. “We will see a big leap this year in the number of passengers because, apart from scheduled flights, Brač sees a lot of small private aircraft that also need to be handled. So there will be a lot of work”, the airport's General Manager, Tonči Peović, said previously.
They will have between 27000 and 31000 max..not 47000
