Ryanair to launch new Podgorica service

NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Ryanair plans to introduce flights between Barcelona and Podgorica this summer season. Services are expected to commence in June, initially once per week before increasing to two weekly during the 2019/20 winter season. Previously, Podgorica Airport held talks with Vueling over the potential service. Earlier this year, Ryanair announced it would also introduce flights from Bologna to Podgorica, starting April 1. As previously reported, the airline's Route Development Manager, Gary Butler, recently met with the General Manager of Airports of Montenegro, Danilo Orlandić, to discuss growth potential. Flights from Barcelona are yet to be scheduled and put on sale.

Impressive that it is operated on a year-round basis, it will be good as passengers who were using DBV in the past can fly for less money via TGD now.
