NEWS FLASH
American Airlines will increase frequencies on its seasonal flights between Philadelphia and Dubrovnik during the 2020 summer season. The world's largest carrier is yet to schedule the additional flights, however, American's Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, Vasu Raja, said services to Dubrovnik will be increased to daily. The airline is currently maintaining three weekly flights between the two cities with its Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, which will increase to four weekly in September. Services to Dubrovnik are also expected to operate longer during the summer season. The head of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Romana Vlašić, previously said, "This pilot project from American Airlines will grow over the coming years to include more American cities as well as new airlines. We have been working intensively on the US market for years and it seems that this work is starting to bear fruit".
Bas lepo videti, samo napred!
ReplyDeleteDBV is by far the best run airport in the country and this shows it!
ReplyDeleteAlso in the former Yugoslavia .

DeleteThey are currently evaluating ORD and LAX to DBV.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but those wint come next year.
DeleteAA announced yesterday new ORD flights to BUD, KRK and PRG. If DBV would get love from ORD, that would have been announced too.
I think they want to crush LO in BUD to ORD.
DeleteThey want to crush LO on ORD-BUD and also ORD-KRK.
DeleteDBV is popular right now but does it have staying power to get second route from ORD? Look at what happend to PHL-BLQ, AA is shutting it down. DBV has low profile among American hotel chains, only one Hilton and one Sheraton. American tourists prefer their hotel brands for loyalty perks.
Unlike BLQ, which is bein cancelled, DBV is being increased to daily- that is DAILY. So probably Americans also stay in other hotels as well :D

ReplyDeleteBravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteCould we see PHL ZAG? They just announced Morocco, there can't be more demand.
ReplyDeleteThere will be demand. Apart from leisure traffic, Royal Air Marroc is becoming a one world member. American said they will therefore get access to all of Africa.
DeleteWoohoo for DBV these are such good news!!! Daily flight is very impressive !!!
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed amazing. Daily PHL-DBV after only one season. Goes to show how much potential not only Dubrovnik has, but the whole of Croatia.
DeleteEquitable reward for DBV but also Croatia who have invested tremendously in the past 10 years into tourism infrastructure. I always say how important infrastructure investments are, here is a good example how it pays off at the end. Montenegro is also benefiting fm more attention from the western tourism industry. Next project is the Ritz Carlton near Tivat. I personally will try the Chedi in October and also visit DBV the first time again after 2003
DeleteSomebody knows when the new flights will be schedulled?
ReplyDeleteShould be on Thursday (next week)
