NEWS FLASH
Irish carrier CityJet, which specialises in ACMI wet-leasing contracts, has denied reports made by Slovenian press that it is reviewing a potential acquisition of shares in Adria Airways. In a statement to EX-YU Aviation News, the airline said, “CityJet is not involved in undertaking any such due diligence [in Adria]. Such speculation is without foundation”. Slovenian media previously reported that Mesa Airlines was also reviewing Adria’s business, however, the US carrier neither confirmed nor denied the claims. Last month the Slovenian airline said it needed a strategic partner in order to expand its operations.

ReplyDeleteEI-GEF was picked up in LJU flown to Norwich UK for paint
DeleteFour days ago, I saw two Cityjet pilots at LJU and no Cityjet aircraft anywhere. Coincidence?
ReplyDeleteEI-GEF was at Tehnika
DeleteAh...for a moment I thought that those 2 guys were CEO & CFO in disguise... :)
DeleteWhy would the pilots have anything to do with any possible partnership anyway?

ReplyDeleteLOL za medalju!
Strange suggestion in the first place. CityJet has gradually moved away from own commercial services over the last few years and now only does ACMI. Why would they reverse that strategic move by buying an airline doing both?
ReplyDeleteWho would benefit from spreading such unfounded rumours?
@anon 06:42 : who, you ask? well the 'we need time to stall' crew comes to mind
