Lauda reaches out to Adria pilots

Low cost carrier Lauda is offering Adria Airways pilots a fast-track interview and assessment process for employment at its bases in Vienna and Palma de Mallorca. “We understand it is a very difficult time for you and your families. Lauda has immediate job opportunities in Vienna and Palma for captains and first officers. We can offer a fast-track assessment process in Dublin and we will move through the applications as soon as possible”, Lauda’s Chief Pilot, Chris Grube, said. Applications can be lodged here. Lauda, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ryanair, boasts a fleet of 21 Airbus A320 aircraft, with a further four on order.

    I fear this might put an end to Adria as I am sure all pilots will try to get a job with Lauda especially since Vienna is not far from home.

      Is it really employment by Lauda or through a third party contractor like Crewlink?
      And their employment contracts and benefits will be based on Irish Law?

      No idea but Lauda is based and registered in Austria so maybe Austrian laws apply?

      Then again, what's more appealing, Crewlink or Slovenian unemployment benefits?

      No one is forcing them to work there, they are being invited to an interview. That's all, it's up to them to accept the offer or walk away.

    Če me spomin ne vara, so se ravno piloti pred kratkim potegovali za boljše plače in pogoje dela, čeprav je bilo že vsem jasno, kakšno je stanje v podjetju. Tega žal ne razumem. Ko gre podjetju za obstoj, zahtevaš boljše delovne pogoje in več denarcev. In res je, Adria niso samo piloti in stevardese, je še veliko drugega podpornega osebja, do tistega, ki prodaja karte na letališču. V pismu za javnost
    so se končno spomnili tudi na te ljudi.
