Luxair to suspend Adria-operated route

NEWS FLASH

Luxair will discontinue flights between Saarbruecken and Berlin Tegel Airport at the end of the 2019/2020 winter season in late March of next year. The service is operated with a wet-leased Adria Airways CRJ700 aircraft and crew. It leaves future cooperation between the two carriers in doubt. The Slovenian airline previously said its ACMI services account for a growing portion of its revenues. The CRJ700, registered S5-AAZ, has been operating on behalf of Luxair exclusively on the route since January 1, 2018 and features the Luxembourgish carrier’s livery.

Yes, all 5 bank accounts of JP in Slovenia are deblocked as per today meaning there are no unpaid obligations executed by the court.

CAA has initiated proceedings to revoke their AOC. I doubt they will manage to survive until March.

      Have they really?!

This makes sense since they have been ignoring laws in order to protect JP. These insufficient funds could also be a safety issue as I wonder if they are safe to fly these days. Especially after those account blockades.

No they haven't. They are reviewing the report by JP. Their verdict is expected by the end of october. I am no Adria fanboy, but there is no need to spread fake news.

This route is cancel by Summer 2020 (check his web page). Luxair will not fly SCN TXL any more, and this is nothing to do with Adria's situation.

Adrija is making it so easy to defame them though, don't blame the good people of this world, blame JP management and its German overlords.
