The Adria Airways Fight School, a subsidiary of the defunct Slovenian national carrier Adria Airways, has been put up for sale. A call for bids was made yesterday. The flight school’s biggest asset is a still valid ATO (Approved Training Organisations) license, enabling a potential buyer to continue training future pilots. Other assets include two PS-28 Cruiser aircraft and a flight simulator. According to receiver Blaž Poljanšek, several companies have shown interest in acquiring the flight school. He noted that Adria’s bankruptcy had interrupted the training of around thirty future pilots. The Adria Airways Flight School registered a net loss of 339.000 euros in 2018.
How can you be bankrupt and still have a valid ATO licence? Suitable finances is one of the conditions for even having ATO licence. This contrary to EASA Regulation. Hello CAA Slovenia?!
ReplyDeleteAdria Airways Flight School is a different company than Adria Airways. If JP went bankrupt that doesn't mean their flight school went as well.
