Pula Airport has said it has halted all investments over uncertainty the air transport sector is facing as a result of the coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak. “Pula Airport has stopped all investments and public tenders. Out of the 130 employees, some twenty are circulating inside the airport. The rest are on holiday leave or using up free days and everyone alternates. We don’t know what will happen with wages and it would help if amendments were to be made to the labour act. This would ease negotiations with the unions, even though it is evident that many have not realised the seriousness of the situation”, the acting General Manager of Pula Airport, Nina Vojnić Žagar, said. She added, “The terminal building is completely empty, and nothing is working”. Pula Airport is still open for business but has no scheduled flights at the moment.
