Air Serbia brings forward service resumptions

Air Serbia is bringing forward the resumption of its flights from Belgrade to Paris and Amsterdam. Initially planned to restart on June 15, the carrier will now reintroduce services to France and the Netherlands on May 31. It will operate one weekly rotation to each until June 15. Air Serbia will resume commercial flights tomorrow. Due to increased demand, it has added extra frequencies on its Vienna, Zurich, Frankfurt and London routes in May and the first half of June. On May 22, Serbia will lift entry restrictions and requirements introduced during the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic for both locals and foreign nationals.

Air Serbia is introducing a range of new on board measures as a result of Covid-19. Starting May 21, it will be mandatory to wear face masks for the entire duration of the flight, and all aircraft will be disinfected regularly. Additional protective equipment, such as gloves and visors, can be brought on board by passengers and will be permitted and welcomed. Service on all flights will be simplified with a focus on minimal contact. This will include the removal of the inflight magazine and brochures. Initially, there will be no catering on board, instead, only water will be served to prevent the frequent removal of masks, and thus reduce the risk of the virus being transmitted. Passengers older than 65 will have complimentary priority check-in, while families checking in for flights will be able to do so using special counters, to make the process quicker and more efficient. Food will be served on the airline’s New York flights when they resume on June 6.
