NEWS FLASH
Niš Constantine the Great Airport has reopened for commercial traffic today, with Wizz Air resuming flights. The budget carrier has reinstated its service between Dortmund and the south-east Serbian city as of this morning. Wizz Air will restart the remainder of its Niš network during the first week of June. Ryanair, which also maintained flights from Constantine the Great Airport prior to the coronavirus pandemic, is yet to schedule its return. In a statement it said, "We continue to review and finalise the schedules across our network". Air Serbia, which boasts a base in the city, is expected to resume operations from Niš in the coming month.
Bravo INI!!! Anyone know the load on the first flight?
ReplyDeleteGood thing is that they opened the borders so people from the region can profit from cheap fares.
ReplyDeletenobody from the region opened the borders
DeleteIt can be used by incoming passengers. Not outgoing though.
DeleteWhich is really good as many people struggle to reach home now that there are no flights throughout Europe, well most flights anyway.
DeleteCurious if and how they will enable social distancing in the tiny terminal. It used to get extremely crowded in normal times.
ReplyDeleteDo they need social distancing in the terminal when there is none in the plane?
DeleteWell, it's all about minimizing risk wherever possible. The more you minimize it in more places, the less the virus will spread. The fact that we can do nothing about planes doesn't mean that we should do nothing about everything else.
DeleteWizz isn't keeping the middle seat free so no social distancing in the plane. Why should we have it in the terminal?
DeleteDoes anybody have info when SKP airport in NMKD will open?
