NEWS FLASH
Latvian charter carrier SmartLynx Airlines has been contracted by tour operator PrishtinaJET to base two Airbus A320 aircraft in Kosovo and launch flights to Basel, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Munich. Services will commence in early July and will include up to twelve weekly flights to Basel, daily flights to Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, as well as five weekly rotations to Munich. The new base will result in 33 new jobs, which will grow to sixty in the coming period. PrishtinaJET was established by a group of investors from the aviation industry, as well as professionals from the tourism and travel sectors. Pristina Airport is expected to reopen for scheduled commercial flights within the next two weeks.
Whoooaa...didn't see that one coming! Bravo Latvia! This is how you react fast and adapt.
ReplyDeletePRN is now surely going to be a top 5 ex-Yu airport in terms of passengers....

DeleteIs this Latvian airline quickly entering Kosova because of W6? Yesterday someone mentioned that SKP is going to lose 1 aircraft. Maybe it will be shifted to PRN and those guys reacted really fast by launching those new flights.
ReplyDeletelol its the same guys that tried with Air Mediteran or what it was called. It seems like some rivals of Air Prishitna. On top of that Eurowings will be super excited about this
DeleteAirPrishtina and Eurokoha are just like bank collecting money showing flights for tommorow 18, 19, JUN etc while PRISTINA AIRPORT IS CLOSED, They have sold in milions EUR worth of tickets showing flights since 1 JUN, (airport is CLOSED since 13/14 MAR 2017)
DeleteNothing to see here, just another shady reiseburo dealing. Will be gone in a year or so.

DeleteIs it Arab or Chinese money?
DeleteSmartLynx are only prividing services as long as long as PrishtinaJet is paying them whoever they are..
DeleteWhat kind of money is allowed in EU, in EU registered airline, in an airline established since 1992 and 20 a320 and a321 aircrafts
DeletePrishtinaJet has the same owners who have cheated passengers in recent years in Kosovo.
DeleteAlways fail either at the start or at the end of the summer or winter season .
AirPrishtina its True have cheated passengers in recent years in Kosovo shade
DeleteWe need PRN JFK
ReplyDeletePRN doesn have JFK direct travellers, PRN need PRN DXB or SHJ or DOH (which one comes first), PRN - PAR and PRN - AMS
DeleteThe plans for JFK are on the table and PRN is currently negotiating for it:

For the ridiculous amount we pay from IAD/JFK/EWR to PRN via VIE/ZRH/IST, someone could make a pretty penny with a straight shot, especially from June to September.
DeleteAre you real or what?
DeleteSounds like an internet provider's name!
DeleteSmartLynx sounds like the name of a cable company.
ReplyDeleteWhat lynx - a wild cat with yellowish-brown fur, has to do with cables?
DeleteI recommend Eurowings to open service direct JFK-PRN-JFK.
ReplyDeleteEurowings don’t miss out make money from USA diaspora 👍
Eurowings announced its selling all large aircrafts and cutting oversea destinations and in mean time has other probelms like strugling and keeping business alive .... " The Eurowings boss assured that all customers who have refused vouchers or rebookings will be reimbursed for the money they had paid for flights not taken. For Eurowings, this is a three-digit million amount if all customers demand their money back, he said. “But if the customer wants it, we are of course ready to refund.” Due to the sheer number of claims, it will take time but will be achieved, making a wave of lawsuits against the carrier unlikely"
