Poland is lifting a ban on flights to and from Serbia next week, however, restrictions will remain in place for a number of countries until September 8 at the earliest, including Macedonia and Montenegro. Overall, Poland is adding twenty countries to its flight ban list for a total of 63 among which are Spain, Belgium, Malta and Romania. Along with Serbia, the ban has been lifted for flights to China, Singapore, Russia, Gabon, as well as Sao Tome and Principe. The decision comes into effect on September 2. It will enable LOT Polish Airlines to restore its operations to Belgrade. Entry restrictions and regulations remain in place.

Great news but people from Serbia still can't connect in WAW on their way to the US. Don't know about Canada though.

You CAN'T transit through the EU going to the US w/o going to quarantine. Only option to go to the US is direct flights w/ AirSerbia or through exempt countries like Turkey.

That depends on your citizenship. If US citizen or permanent resident, you can transit through EU

Just 57 new cases today in Serbia. Hopefully more countries restore flights but we need to be more cautious than Suomi.

They are lifting the ban on Wednesday which is when LOT may reschedule the flights. But the article itself also says that this move only enables LOT to start flying, it doesn't actually mean they have to start flights. I see little point in them starting the flights. Almost no Serbs live in Poland, Serbs aren't allowed entry into Poland and there is no transfer possibility to the US.

These flight bans are so stupid and senseless .

Look, when entries from Montenegro were ordered to go into quarantine, many tourists took a car from Montenegro to Dubrovnik and could easily circumvent that decision .
Now Germany orders quarantine for arrivals from Split but not Dubrovnik, so people just switch airports .

Do not flight with LOT. They are scammers. They have not refunded my canceled flight WAW-BEG in March.
    Never flight with this airline.
