Air Serbia transported one million doses of the Coronavirus Covid-19 vaccine from Beijing on Saturday, utilising its Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The Sinopharm-produced vaccines were transported in the cargo hold of the widebody jet in active temperature controlled containers. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is being transported by cargo operator DHL, while the Russian-made Sputnik vaccine has been carried by Aeroflot. A further half a million doses of the Sputnik vaccine are expected to be transported to Serbia by the end of the month. Aeroflot has upgraded its capacity on its Moscow - Belgrade service this coming Saturday to the widebody Airbus A330-300 jet, however, it is unclear whether the vaccines will be transported on this commercial passenger flight.
