PHOTOS: Nordwind touches down in Belgrade

NEWS FLASH

Russia’s Nordwind Airlines inaugurated flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Belgrade on Sunday with its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline becomes the third operator on the route following Air Serbia and Aeroflot. Due to existing coronavirus restrictions, the Russian government caps the number of frequencies on flights permitted to operate out of the country. Currently up to two weekly rotations are allowed between Moscow and Belgrade. Nordwind will maintain its service once per week. Russian and Serbian citizens can enter each other’s countries with a negative PCR test. However, passengers must travel on the nonstop service between the two capitals to avoid additional entry requirements.

Yes although should be noted this was a charter for workers in Russia.

Well they would probably fly on regular flights if there were no restrictions.

Velesstroy construction company chartered the flight for crew change of construction workers from several sites in Russia. Cheaper than flying them on regular service.

Exactly, that's what happens when you downgrade a route with four daily flights down to 4-5 weekly.

BEG should look more into Russia and connect more and more cities such as Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Samara, Perm. Hopefully we see the Irkut MC-21 soon on Serbian soil.

Well ROV was on JU's radar after KRR turned out to be an epic success. Hopefully they expand more as there is definitely room for more flights.

Samara would serve better than ROV once the pandemic settles down a bit.

It wasn't full, it's really funny how people write lies, and everyone believes it. There were 53 pax on the inbound flight.
