The member states of the European Union have decided to include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo onto its list of epidemiologically safe countries, whose citizens will be allowed to travel to the EU for non-essential purposes. Ambassadors of EU member states endorsed the position that these three have a “satisfactory epidemiological situation” which enables its citizens to travel to EU states without restrictions. Although each member state decides individually on entry requirements, almost all have adopted a unified position on allowing entry to citizens and residents of “safe countries”. Two weeks ago, both Serbia and Macedonia were added to the list. The move is expected to significantly aid the aviation sector in all markets. This expanded list should start to be implemented from this Friday, July 2.
