Jazeera Airways to launch Sarajevo flights

NEWS FLASH

Kuwaiti carrier Jazeera Airways will commence a four weekly seasonal service between Kuwait City and Sarajevo starting June 26. Flights will be maintained with its 162-seat Airbus A320neo jet, featuring twelve seats in business class and 150 in economy. Jazeera will be the second Kuwaiti airline to serve Sarajevo this summer, joining Kuwait Airways. Kuwait City is Sarajevo Airport’s busiest unserved route with over 20.000 passengers flying indirectly between the two cities in the pre-pandemic 2019. In addition, Kuwaiti nationals do not need to quarantine in Bosnia and Herzegovina upon arrival. Further flight details can be found here.

SJJ has a lot of catching up to do to the rest of the region. Not the other way around.

Not in this case. The operators of the neighbouring airports should also invite the likes of Flynas, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera.
Twice a week flights should be possible for the beginning if conditions are met as for example visa free travel and some incentives.
      Maybe even year round.

If you talk about those airlines from Arab countries, yes, Sarajevo is leader, and I agree others should try as well, but it's not possible to complete Sarajevo in this race as this is religiously induced demand, simply as that. It's muslim city (since war, not as cosmopolitan as it used to be), but still in Europe, so they love it.

It's not a leader in Middle East flights because it can sustain them for 2 months per year. In winter it has a couple of Flydubai flights per week and that's it.

  5. Sarajevo is still very Cosmopolitan city much more than Many other capitals in the neighborhood! That’s why this winter skiers from all over Balkan came here. Regarding flights from GCC, it’s more about promotion of country than anything else. To be honest after Montenegro Bosnia is the greenest in the region. Also, as you all now even at the moment and thru whole pandemic time Bosnia had the least restrictions regarding entrance. Also, Bosnia was the first one to abandon police lockdown and to open up restaurants completely. And the last thing, Bosnia never changed rules about lockdown over night. Most of other countries in the region kept on doing that on daily basis.

As i said many times, if Air Serbia can fly charters from Bosnia then Flybosnia could and also should fly charters from Serbia !
Especially Kuwait where there is no visa regime .
Flybosnia is Saudi owned and is thus best experienced in attracting Arab tourism .
