Austrian Airlines boosts Pristina service

NEWS FLASH

Austrian Airlines has increased its frequencies from Vienna to Pristina from double daily flights to seventeen weekly, with three daily rotations operating on select days. It marks the most flights the Austrian carrier has ever maintained out of Pristina. The additional frequencies have been added as of this week, departing Vienna at 10.00 in the morning. It complements the daily 12.35 and 22.35 departures from the Austrian capital. “With our dense flight schedule to Southeast Europe, we are strengthening the position of our Vienna hub for international connections”, Austrian’s Chief Commercial Officer, Michael Trestl, said. The additional flights will run until the end of August. Austrian Airlines handled 35.251 passengers on its Pristina flights last year and 111.549 travellers in the pre-pandemic 2019.

Adding WizzAir, there are four flights a day Vienna-Prishtina. Surprising... This has to do with the need that Prishtina Airport has for transatlantic flights. Since most of passengers are transiting Vienna from US.
