Banja Luka Airport registers busiest month on record

NEWS FLASH

Banja Luka Airport handled the most passenger in a single month this July than at any other point in its history. A total of 27.829 travellers passed through its doors, representing an increase of 63% on the pre-pandemic 2019. During the January - July period, the airport welcomed 40.727 travellers. Banja Luka’s growth is being driven by Wizz Air which launched operations from five points in Europe to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest city this June. As previously reported, Banja Luka Airport has more airline seats on offer during the second half of the year than prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

They've built the civilian terminal back in the eighties, but JAT was unwilling to commence any flights for years. If I remember well, they did launch some domestic flights by the end of the decade.

Terminal building is so small. Especially when departure is with A321. Airport websight is so old, they didn't update it over a year. There is still only 5 flights on their web, no Wizz at all. With such bad organisation, small terminal building and staff shortage, more can not be done.
