NEWS FLASH
Flydubai has pushed back the introduction of its second daily flight between Dubai and Belgrade. Initially set to commence on October 31, the new evening service departing Dubai and the red-eye flight from Belgrade will now launch on November 29 instead. However, the second daily flight is currently only scheduled on select days up until December 17, after which it will be maintained on a daily basis. Further changes remain possible. Flydubai will continue to run its daily morning service from Dubai and afternoon flight from Belgrade. All services are operated by the Boeing 737 MAX fleet.

ReplyDeleteWizzair with low price to AUH has contribute to this ...
ReplyDeleteBrain: switch on
DeleteFlydubai: Dubai. Wizz: Abu Dhabi. AUH-DXB: 135 km.
Flydubai: transfers with Emirates, Wizz: no transfers.
Flydubai: business class. Wizz: no business class.
Brain: switch off
lol if everybody wants and can afford Flydubai which is up to 280€ more expensive (one-way in Eco!). Wizz has seats with way more leg room for just 15-20€.
DeleteNot everybody wants in the UAE to Dubai. There is a very convenient highway connection between both cities.
Low prices mean marketing promotion. Permanent low prices mean route is not making enough money and will be discontinued. Let's see what happens.
DeleteWizz Air extended AUH-BEG to 4 times weekly. There seems to be some demand. Even though a PCR test must be done for Abu Dhabi
Deleteflydubai website shows Belgrade as double daily from Nov 29 till March 26th.
ReplyDeleteNo it doesen't. Shows double daily only on some days between 29th of Nov and 17th of Dec. Then double daily every day, like it says in the article. You can check. Choose for example 1 December and you will see it's just one flight.
DeleteThat is Qatar Airways opportunity to add evening departures from Belgrade.
ReplyDeleteFZs second daily flight will possibly begin earliest next spring.
It begins in a month.
DeleteIt will get delayed again - unfortunately.
Delete^Not only good for Qatar but also for Wizz Abu Dhabi.
DeleteMaybe flights to Abu Dabi will increase even further?
Who knows ...
DeleteWizz scrapped its second weekly flight to Sarajevo and todays Qatar Airways flight to BEG was cancelled probably because of poor loads.
QR just yesterday upgraded all November flights(from November 3rd) to Belgrade for first three weeks of November from A320 to A321. Coincides with reopening of Sydney for international travel.
DeleteI think Wizzair is being quite aggressive on the AUH route and already taking away passengers from them. It won't be an easy winter for FZ.
ReplyDeleteFZ probably is too late and there is also the possibility of Air Arabia to start flights and taking away passenger share.
DeleteBEG-AUH used to be 14 times per week, JU+EY.
DeleteNow that Wizz is flying the route frequency is down to only 3 times a week. In what universe is going from 14 down to 3 quite aggressive? More like a giant failure.
you call the pandemic a failure
DeleteNo I call Wizzair a failure. Three weekly flights while Flydubai is announcing 14 weekly. Both during pandemic.
Deletethree weekly flights are not a failure. That is the usual frequency of ULCCs. Ryanair makes billions with that strategy. Flydubai needs connecting passengers in Dubai, otherwise their planes would be almost empty.
Delete90% of passengers on flyduai's flights between Belgrade to Dubai are point to point. There are very few transfers.
