Belgrade Airport reaches 52% of pre-pandemic traffic

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport handled 329.000 passengers in October, representing a decrease of 42.6% on the same month in 2019. Air Serbia operated the most scheduled flights out of Belgrade last month, followed by Wizz Air and Lufthansa. With 180.220 seats on sale, Air Serbia had the most capacity on offer from the Serbian capital, followed by Wizz Air (62.200) and Lufthansa (32.008). During the January - October period, Belgrade Airport welcomed over 2.7 million travellers through its doors, representing a decrease of 48.1% on the same period during the pre-pandemic 2019.

    So it's almost certain BEG will have more than 3 million passengers this year. Hopefully we reach 4 million next year especially if we have another fantastic summer. I think a lot will depend on what JU does and if they expand their transfer network. It's encouraging that airlines are already announcing flights for next summer.
