NEWS FLASH
The Slovenian government has launched tender procedures for commercial airlines to share up to two million euros in subsidies to maintain operations to the country, despite initially earmarking seven million euros for the purpose. Carriers operating at least two weekly rotations to Slovenia from June 1, 2022 until October 30, 2022 are eligible for the subsidies. The remaining funds will likely be offered in subsequent phases. The scheme is designed to encourage airlines that maintain services to the country to up their frequencies, as well as attract new carriers. Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Air France were the largest beneficiaries of a similar subsidy scheme last year.
Is there any chance of that 5million € going to someone like Amelia to open new routes?
ReplyDeleteAmelia would be nice yeah.
DeleteThey have 10+ erj135/45 a few atrs and now a319. Would be perfect for slovenian market
DeleteAmelia is a player in completely different sector of aviation. Not compatible
DeleteWhy don't just make a national carrier or pay someone to open a base. What an as* hole* :(
ReplyDeleteAt the Ministry of Infrastructure, they are so incompetent that they don't even know how to carry out anything. Having accidentally managed to figure out how they can legally use such subsidies, they are now sticking to it. They simply are not capable of anything else.
ReplyDeleteAha. Very much true. But I guess this money comes from Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.
Deletereduction means funds have been reallocated.
ReplyDelete2mil is about right too get by until national airline goes public
