Croatia Airlines and maintenance company Lufthansa Technik marked three decades of cooperation this week. Lufthansa Technik maintains components and engines for Croatia Airlines aircraft. “The cooperation with Lufthansa Technik, a global leader in the maintenance of aircraft, components and engines, began with the founding of Croatia Airlines and our first international flight between Zagreb and Frankfurt in the spring of 1992. Over the past three decades, we have successfully collaborated and learned a lot, always taking care of the safety of our aircraft and passengers, which has been our priority. Based on the knowledge gained from experts at Lufthansa Technik, our Technical Sector has become a centre for excellence where the most demanding maintenance work is performed on aircraft operated by foreigners, as well as our own fleet”, the CEO of Croatia Airlines, Jasmin Bajić, said. The Vice President for Corporate Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Lufthansa Technik, Kai Roepke, added, “The long-standing partnership between our companies is a prime example of successful international business and cooperation. Our common understanding of high-quality work, our flexible reaction to unexpected events, and our passion for delivering the best service are key to creating business growth and sustainable success together”.
In 1992, Croatia Airlines purchased three Boeing 737-200 aircraft from Lufthansa. At the same time, a Total Technical Support (TTS) contract was reached for the purchased aircraft. Collaboration with Lufthansa Technik continued over the years with the maintenance company providing services for various aircraft types in Croatia Airlines’ fleet. In 2000 the two began an employee exchange program. The following year, when Croatia Airlines was certified to perform base and line maintenance independently on foreign aircraft in Zagreb, it was Lufthansa’s Airbus A320s which saw the first C-checks conducted in the Croatian capital.
Bravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteLifthansa uber alles!
ReplyDeleteProbably the worst thing to happen to us. LH is a monster that makes a huge profit off of the Croatian tourist agency. Back in the day we would rake in the tourists regardless of whether there was a partnership.
ReplyDeleteBravo OU!
ReplyDeleteShow me youre a Lufthansa slave without telling me youre a Lufthansa slave.
