NEWS FLASH
The former CEO of Croatia Airlines, Krešimir Kučko, has been nominated by the Board of Directors of Air Montenegro to lead the national airline, according to the “Pobjeda” daily. The state is set to approve the appointment at one of its upcoming sessions. Mr Kučko became the CEO of Croatia Airlines in 2012, following twenty years at the airline. During his tenure, the carrier underwent a wide-ranging restructuring and became profitable following years of losses. However, his critics argue the company achieved profitability in large part due to the sale of valuable assets. He stepped down from his post in 2017 and became the CEO of Gulf Air that same year. He headed the Bahraini carrier until January 2021 after which he became the airline’s Advisor to the Board of Directors. Air Montenegro launched an open call to select a new Chief Executive in March following the resignation of Predrag Todorović, who led the airline since its foundation in 2021.
Being profitable by selling everything is superb way of being porfitable on the short run... on the long one, not so much

ReplyDeleteI can't believe this.
ReplyDeleteIt is not like Air Montenegro is a dream job for premium professionals.
ReplyDeleteHow did he do in Gulf Air? 4 years is a long time
ReplyDeleteTha fact that he lasted for 4 years at this position for such a renowned airline, shows he made his job according to expectations.
Deleteso, they're filing bankruptcy
ReplyDeleteThe are lucky, imagine they could have hired crazy Dane
ReplyDeleteCrazy Dane's company is way ahead of former Kucko's company.
DeleteWas German Embassy involved in any way?
ReplyDeleteOnly employ Kucko if you want all your assets sold off and do collossal long term damage to your company!
ReplyDeleteThis is the man that destroyed Croatia Airlines!
ReplyDeleteThis is the man who had to sell everything OU owned because Katicic and Misetic left company totally ruined. He did not destroy OU, he just contributed to it to remain week, small and lousy. And Jasmin is proudly continuing the job...
DeleteMisetic was the best CEO at Croatia Airlines! The Aircraft were modern, customer service Excellent and they had a better range of destinations. Kucko sold the assets off and pocketed the profits!
DeleteYeah, right. Misetic is in charge all these time. His company double leases Q400. Tena does her part of job in gvt. It's not the problem of OU who the CEO is and who was "the best". None was the best. They are all the same. They are not there to run the company but to ensure Mafia "pockets the profits". And Kucko definitely is not the Godfather.
DeleteThis is logical choice! Guy had made CA leader in the Europe, so now is time for MA to be fixed.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahaha, you made my day! 😃
DeleteSad truth is that there are no longer available competent people in the Balkans as all left to Western Europe. Air Montenegro probably struggled finding a proper CEzo. Either way, this man may perform better in the newly launched airline company.
ReplyDeleteThe guy is a waste of rations. Setting himself low standards and failing to achieve them. The world really is screwed when failure is constantly rewarded.!!!
