NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia has confirmed that its second wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft, which is to be delivered this October, will also feature a special livery. Much like its special Nikola Tesla livery on the current A330, which features the scientist’s image on the tail, as well as specialised on board meals inspired by the inventor, the second jet will also boast a famous individual. “The aircraft will be decorated with the image of a famous person who is celebrated in Serbia and by the Serbian people”, the carrier’s CEO, Jiri Marek, said.
Oh come on… Normal livery would look so much better on the A330!
ReplyDeleteOMG - again this crap.
ReplyDeleteEWWWWW
ReplyDeleteWhy they don't do this on Atr and A320 family aircraft?
ReplyDeleteTOP!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absent disgusting.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely*
DeleteKako mislite da dobiju novac od vlade srbije bez ovih klovnovskih radnji?
DeletePupin?
ReplyDeleteWill be Vučić. He is the most famous
ReplyDelete🤦
DeleteHopefully not Djokovic :O
ReplyDeleteHe's not a scientist or an inventor:))
DeleteBut c'mon why not - 'Tesla livery' looks very nice - the feedback was ultimately very positive, and is according to what other airlines are doing, so way to go!
ReplyDeleteThe only question would be - who would be that person to be featured, to be widely recognizable? As for instance Pupin and Milankovic indeed are not widely recognizable...
I would prefer woman this time, maybe Mileva Maric?
DeleteWell, do it on a f***ing A320, why do you need to spoil another A330?
DeleteThat's so primitive.
Isidora Sekulic or Ivo Andric maybe? :)
ReplyDeleteIvo would be sick
DeleteWhy? Norwegian has images of many Scandinavian writers on tails.
DeleteNooooooo one aircraft is enough......
ReplyDelete+1000000
DeleteNovak Djoković
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not a huge fan - think that this would actually be a very smart move, and perhaps the only reasonable one - if it were to have a celeb. featured.
DeleteNovak resonates very well with the people from both China and the US (and the rest of the world).
I LOVE it! Imagine for the US Open a HUGE Djokovic image on the plane! One with Toma Zdravkovic would immediately bring a tear to the eye of anyone seeing it. For the one going to China an image of Walter Brani Sarajevo on the plane would guarantee sold out flights for the next 15 years! Apparently the Chinese were in love with him.
ReplyDeleteI think they are over-doing it. One person (Tesla) is enough, if they do this again it is repetitive, they need to think outside the box and constantly come up with something new. Not to mention that I do not see a single person famous enough to be featured on the plane's tail
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteThankfully you don't decide who's famous or not, right? :)
DeleteI don’t get why everyone is complaining, it’s a really cool concept that promotes Serbia around the world, and a pretty good investment. As for the menus, I’m pretty sure they got rid of them but it would be nice for them to be based off Novak Djokovic’s diet regime if his face gets painted on.
ReplyDeleteIt will be Dalila from Zadruga on a tail of a plane.
ReplyDeleteNo way!!!
DeleteWe want Miljana Kulić!
Miljana! Miljana!
It should be Zorica Markovic and a few of her famous quotes on the side of the plane :)
Delete"Ja sa strane posmatram i ćutim, nisam se mešala, ja poštujem sve ove ljude"
DeleteMarija Kulić, pls
DeleteThe only one worldwide famous would be Novak but I really hope they'll not pick him. It would be ridiculous. Someone mentioned Bata Živojinović (Valter) and indeed he'd be insanely recognized but only in China. Anyhow, I'd prefer normal, AirSerbia livery.
ReplyDeleteWhen deployed to China, it should be Walter! Then, when flying to USA it must be Marina Abramovic, When used as a charter - is should be Caca "nationale" or Karleusa or Lukas... and so on and on. Why to stick only to one face @name!
DeleteMarina Abramovič? If they do want to make a real effort.
ReplyDeleteRgds, Eight
With that said, normal livery would be nice. With update to engine covers to be fully horizontal not "climbing". And they really should do something with the typeface. It is just not right. Regards, Eight.
DeleteMarina Abramović :p
ReplyDeleteIs this plane really flying or is it just a part of a performance?
DeleteI NARAVNO DŽEJ
ReplyDeleteTesla looks nice, but the whole idea behind the "Serbia creates" and those tails is to get some money from the state while misusing the state aid legislation. Very wise, in SNS still of wiseness.
ReplyDeleteKeeping up with the tradition of JAT DC 10 the second A330 is going to be Mihajlo Pupin also an Serbian and American famous inventor and scientist, hopefully the third will be Milutin Milankovic.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Šaban Šaulić lol
ReplyDeletename a plane after a person who died in an accident?
DeleteIf it's Đoković, I will purposefully never fly that plane. He may be famous, but he's rubbish.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they choose a worthy individual, like Tesla is.
No, Djokovich will come on tail of aircraft which will be utilised on Australia routes
ReplyDeleteSerbia does not have real worldwide celebrities atm. Djokovic is such a shame and he hasn't learnt to be a global celebrity. He is a local boy and his behaviour is not good representation of our country, or maybe he does represent it in the very realistic way. I hope it is Putin. Two of our 3 best scientists ever, had to go to USA to become scientists.
ReplyDeleteMilutin Milanković was born in very east of Croatia, on the Danube border with Serbia, backthen Austro-Hungarian Empire. Milutin graduated high school in Osijek and then studied at TU Wien.
DeleteWhy does it matter if someone is worldwide famous? It's a Serbian airline flying mostly Serbian citizens therefore it doesn't matter if a person from our history is known in the rest of the world.
DeleteThe girl who won the eurovision?
