NEWS FLASH

Air Cairo plans to convert its nonstop service from Hurghada to Banja Luka to operate via Belgrade from October 1 for a limited time. The one weekly flight will have a one hour stop in the Serbian capital before continuing to Banja Luka. The airline does not hold fifth freedom rights and will not be able to sell tickets between Belgrade and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest city. The service, which will run each Friday during October, will end on October 28. Although Air Cairo initially planned to maintain services to Banja Luka throughout the winter, it will not go ahead with the flights. This upcoming winter season, the Egypt Air subsidiary will operate three weekly flights to Belgrade, one weekly to Skopje, one weekly to Sarajevo and one weekly to Ljubljana (via Skopje).

Egypt seems to have lost lots of tourists after the Most Best Ever Food Review video about the country that went very viral online. It would be interesting to see what happens with the rest of the ex-Yu countries.

I mean this video was watched by millions of people exposing the ongoing scam going in the country. It seems that poverty and high population are increasing over there in Egypt.

Serbs went to Turkey when there was a coup and they didn't leave Tunisia when there was a shooting on the beach some years ago. If Egypt isn't as popular as before then I guess it's because they went elsewhere. Given how popular Spain was this year I think a lot of them went there. After all we had two new Spanish destinations plus Wizz Air which launched both NCE and BCN. I believe Malta also opened up this summer. I heard Wizz Air's loadfactor to Malta is constantly over 90%.
