NEWS FLASH
Tivat Airport handled just 564.913 travellers during the first three quarters of the year, down 54.2% on its 2019 pre-pandemic traffic levels. As a result, it saw 667.882 fewer passengers on three years ago. The figure is also below last year’s result. As previously reported, the airport is dealing with the loss of several markets as a result of the conflict in Ukraine. Previously, Russia was Tivat’s biggest market, with both Ukraine and Belarus also contributing a sizeable number of passengers. In 2019, a total of 631.561 travellers flew between Moscow and Tivat alone, with services from a number of other Russian cities, including Saint Petersburg, which accounted for 62.147 travellers.
