NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia has scheduled a limited winter service between Belgrade and Pula during the holiday period. Flights will operate between December 23 and January 9 each Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the ATR72 turboprop aircraft. Tickets are available for purchase through the airline's website.
Is this being run by some tour operator? Kinda odd they would add PUY before SPU in winter
ReplyDeleteIt is not. You can buy tickets on Air Serbia's website.
DeleteI think it’s not the first time. I remember, Air Serbia flew to Rijeka a few yrs ago in wintertime
ReplyDeleteThey tried and ended up turning the route into seasonal by December 2019 due to poor loads.

I see they scheduled it to offer connections from the West. What kind of market is there in winter? Where is this diaspora mostly located? Germany?
ReplyDeleteThey will also offer connections from Istanbul though I don't know how big the market really is.
They will probably be doing it with ATR, they will probably catch at least 50ppl per flight, fine by them :D
DeleteThere are a number of festivities over there, concerts etc. (Parni valjak in Rovinj, Porec is always strong with Colic, Severina and likes, hotels with their own events...) so it's not just about diaspora.
DeleteTourists or transfers ? Very interesting!
ReplyDeleteOnly Bol is not started in Croatia.

DeleteBol bwk in sommer 2023?
DeleteWhen they will convert its Atr72 to freighters ?
ReplyDeleteWill be super to see passenger (for regional destinations as now ) and freighters for cargo to Cologne for example!
Their atrs could replace current CGN-ZAG-BEG-ZAG-CGN service and current LJU-BEG service

DeleteThey are lot of Serbs living in Istria or they have relatives there so this logical during holidays
ReplyDeleteThe major reason for introduction of this route is is both stable and rising market demand from Belgrade for traveling to Istria during holidays including short breaks, while on the other side Istrian stakeholders want to grow business during winter so the period from around 20.12. to around 10.01. is the logical choice.
ReplyDeleteIstria is a fantastic destination and the gourmet temple of the ex YU region. In addition, plenty of olive oil and wine tasting, walking/hiking/kite surfing at Kap Kamenjak, biking, horse riding enjoying the beautiful towns and villages such as Rovinj, Motovun, Groznjan, Rabac, Opatija and Piran. Visiting Trieste and walk the Napoleonic trail with a stunning view of Trieste and parts of Istria. Many things to do and always worth visiting.
