NEWS FLASH

Air Montenegro will add two new seasonal routes to its network next summer. The carrier will introduce flights from Tivat the Brno in the Czech Republic, and from Podgorica to Bratislava. Air Montenegro will also double its seasonal operations between Tivat and Prague from two to four per week. “We see potential in the Czech market from which there is strong demand by travellers. As of next year, we will be serving both Prague and Brno. At the moment, we are also seeing wide-scale interest from Slovak tourists, which will now have nonstop flights to Podgorica from Bratislava”, Air Montenegro said. Further flight details for the three weekly Tivat - Brno service starting June 15, can be found here, while additional information for the two weekly Podgorica - Bratislava flights starting June 17 can be viewed here. The carrier is expected to announce a further three new routes for next summer in the coming weeks.

Interesting choices. Also interesting that their plane will be sitting in Brno for hours on one of the days.

It looks to me as if it turns around in 40 minutes all days... Maybe there was an error in the schedule that has been corrected now?

      Because of code-shares.

I really wonder why they do not offer any transfer flight via TGD?

It is undrstandable to me that they can't codeshare with JU as they are not IATA member, but why don't they offer it with their own metal?

Montenegro Airlines offered this possibility quite often in the past and it was the pleasure flying on these route(s).

Never understood how brining in planeloads of tourists to Podgorica makes more sense then to take them directly to the coast in Tivat.

Coastal cities Bar and Ulcinj are closer to TGD.

It seems to me like they are also trying to connect two capitals as a side benefit. May or may not work, of course.

It is actually convenient to fly to Podgorica even if you are going to Budva. Coastal road between Tivat and Budva is constantly jammed during the summer season.

The airport isn't very busy, though, since VIE is less than 2h away.
