NEWS FLASH
Flydubai has handled the most passengers on its Dubai – Belgrade service during the first half of 2022 since launching operations to the city eleven years ago. The carrier welcomed 59.136 passengers on its flights during the first half of 2022, up 45.9% on the same period last year and an increase of 83.2% on the pre-pandemic 2019. The carrier maintains double daily flights between the two cities with its Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft throughout the year.
Flydubai Belgrade passenger performance, H1 2022
Good, hopefully they perform even better in the coming months.
ReplyDeleteAnother missed opportunity for JU.
Deletehaha yes because JU has such a small network and has missed so many opportunities.
Deleteagree with 10:51 quite a missed ju opportunity foloowing the 2 daily auh ey flights
DeleteJU should get 4th A330 and join the game, offering premium product and compete. It’s not too late and they should keep eyes very close to DBX and be ready to jump in.
DeleteFlydubai's business class is miles ahead of Air Serbia's A330 business class
DeleteVery good result
ReplyDeleteCan we get numbers for all ex-yu cities?
ReplyDeleteLJU about 37500 pax for the first 10 months this year
DeleteThis route has matured nicely and is now more than capable to welcome Emirates with a year-round daily 777-300 service. Don't forget that many people avoid flydubai because of their seat pitch on this 5 hour journey.
ReplyDeleteThat is my wish as well, however I do think yields (business class passengers as well as potential First) are not that big in numbers to justify a 777 operating a flight to BEG.
DeleteAlso what comes to mind is a possibility that they use 787 once they get it eventually. Who knows, it still remains to be seen but having EK in Belgrade would be a major thing.
First Class no, but business does quite well on FZ... yields are also not bad at all... the 2-class 77L would be ideal to start with and do the afternoon service (38J 264Y) with FZ still doing the evening departure.
DeleteYeah, I actually forgot about 77L thanks :)
DeleteThe first Middle East airline that eventually decides to offer a non-LCC (flydubai) and single aisle (Qatar) service from Belgrade will take up all the market currently taken by flydubai, Qatar, WizzAir and more notably Turkish Airlines and Pegasus. This market is huge and profitable, and sooner or later someone will conclude this, I'm hoping it's Emirates.
DeleteDoes anyone have numbers for their ops in Lju?
ReplyDeletethere is in the table in this article below for Q1-Q3
Deletehttps://www.exyuaviation.com/2022/11/lufthansa-asserts-dominance-in-ljubljana.html
Number is actually impressive.... With only around x4x weekly, the number is more than great
DeleteAround 37.5k for Jan-October (included).
DeleteWhat is the share of transfer pax on this route, and where are they originating? Serbia will re-introduce visas for Indian nationals from January 1st, and I wonder what effect this may have on the route performance.
ReplyDeleteValid question but from what I heard few months back is that the majority of Indian tourists travelled via Istanbul, not sure if that is true.
DeleteHigh time for EK 777
ReplyDelete2024 EK will get A350s and then BEG will see EK widebodies (hopefully)
