Wizz Air has launched a design competition, encouraging talent from across the world to create a sustainability livery for one of its Airbus A321neo aircraft. The winner will receive 2.000 euros in Wizz Air vouchers. To raise awareness of its sustainability efforts and mark its commitment to further reducing its CO2 emissions intensity by 25% by 2030, Wizz Air has invited creative individuals to design the new livery for one of its jets. The competition closes at 23.59 CET on February 12, 2023. All entrants should send their designs via email to liverydesign@wizzair.com, following the Terms and Conditions and Design Guidelines of the competition. The winning design stands the chance to be used partially or fully in the creation of the final sustainability livery.
It would be better if the prize was 2000 EUR in cash and not Wizz credits.
ReplyDeleteWhy? You can book a lot of tickets all of which will be cancelled later and in a few years you will have 4000 EUR worth of Wizz credits.
DeleteWhen you pay with Wizz credits and the flight gets cancelled, you get 100% of the value back, not 120% like for cash bookings :)

DeleteGreat news for the planet, Wizz will reduce total CO2 emissions by 25% by 2030! Even with 100% NEO fleet they will have to reduce fleet size and number of flights to achive this. Awesome comittment from a major airline!
ReplyDeleteSo an airline that makes up 2% of the global aviation emissions (which themselves make up 2% of overall carbon emissions on the planet) will reduce its carbon footprint by a quarter! Yay!
DeleteNo need to worry Vlad. Wizz won't reduce fleet size, in fact they will at least double it by 2030. Their CO2 emissions will continue to grow unchecked.

It's immediately recognizable. Everyone everywhere knows it's WizzAir plane when they see one.
DeleteDisgrace of the airline. Fly last week with Wizz from Eindhoven to Belgrade. They charge for assigned seat €18,- in the back of the aircraft. 1 min later same seat €23,- Shameless don’t want to talk about other I won’t unpredictable charges on the top of a cheap ticket. They should be put out of business
