NEWS FLASH
Croatia Airlines is set to resume operations between Zagreb and Mostar this May after it was the only airline to apply for a public call issued by Mostar authorities for the introduction of flights from the Croatian capital in return for subsidies. Services are expected to commence on May 3 and operate three times per week, departing Zagreb on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The flights on Thursdays and Sundays will depart at 23.00 CEST, with the return service leaving Mostar the following morning for a 07.00 CEST arrival into Zagreb, enabling passengers to connect onto Croatia Airlines’ Europe-bound flights. Operations will be maintained with the Dash 8 aircraft. Croatia Airlines last flew between the two cities until the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020. Tickets are expected to go on sale shortly. Further preliminary flight details can be found here.
Interesting that JU has never attempted carving out a feed to/from OMO... surely there is traffic from IT, DE, DK, SE, NO... possibly even PL with KRK flights starting?
ReplyDeleteJU could probably pick up a few transfers, but i wonder how many O&D passengers there are.
DeleteShocking
ReplyDeleteBravo Hrvatska!
DeleteOMO has great tourist potential at least seasonally but it is squandered. There are so many places OMO could subsidize flights to that could bring in tourist money but this political route will likely have poor load factors and only bring money into the pockets of those that created it. Frankly, OMO could have subsidized OU flights from OMO to a destination with more potential for a good LF and that would be money better spent.
DeleteMunich?
DeleteBravo Anonymous!
DeleteIt's kind of funny how both OMO-ZAG and BNX-BEG can be maintained only with heavy subsidies. Pure political projects with no real economic benefits for either of the two airports.

DeleteMostar is full of crocks and thieves, mafia. Not sure why we need a connection to that cesspool.
Exactly! And the funniest part is that we are not even talking about money paid by respective taxpayers... A joke...
Delete2 flight a week BNX BEG can hardly bring some benefits at all. Bnx beg should be on a daily basis with two flight daily at least 3 times a week
DeleteCongratulations OU!
ReplyDeleteProfitability booster!
ReplyDeleteIts not Chicago but we will take it! :)
ReplyDeleteNo way it will work with this schedule. I see the route on Wednesday at 13,00 will be a top seller :-)
