NEWS FLASH
Lumiwings will commence operations from Foggia, some 380 kilometres east of Rome, to Mostar this summer. Services will launch on June 3 and will be maintained twice per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets will go on sale through Lumiwings’ website later this week. The General Manager of Foggia Airport, Antonio Maria Vasile, said the service will primarily cater for pilgrims visiting the Medjugorje sight near Mostar. Dimitris Kremiotis, Accountable Manager at Lumiwings, added, “Foggia Airport is growing. It is very encouraging that an important destination for religious and cultural tourism such as Mostar is added which, with its Stari Most and the Old Town, shares membership in UNESCO as a World Heritage Site with the sites of Gargano and Puglia". Lumiwings is a Greek carrier operating in Italy. It boasts a fleet of two aircraft, with one Boeing 737-300 and one B737-700. Last year, the carrier operated flights on behalf of Air Serbia. Mostar Airport has been securing new scheduled services. Last week, Aeroitalia commenced two weekly rotations from Forli with an ATR72-600 aircraft.
Some good news for Mostar finally.
ReplyDeleteMostar did just set up a new record with 2 airlines operating!!!! hahahah
DeleteActually 3 hahaha Croatia Airlines, Lumiwings and Aeroitalia. 🤣
DeleteHow can Mostar be getting more flights than Zagreb and Ljubljana combined?
ReplyDeleteIt helps having no flights to begin with.
DeleteThe Medjugorje scam is the reason
DeleteTotal scam...it's a tax on the st*pid
DeleteSo, as of June onward, OMO has 7 scheduled flights weekly, right?
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteI find it really strange that aeroitalia doesn't sell the flights to DBV, OMO and ZAD on its own website, but through a third party that some people don't know about
ReplyDeleteBecause they are just the operating carrier. The flights are organized by a tour operator that sells the tickets
DeleteGreat news for Mostar
DeleteI hope a new CEO of the Mostar Airport will make some changes for OMO. They will soon announce a call for this position. Please who ever have a good experience in aviation industry, apply and take this airport in good direction. Hope a Ex-Yu aviation will announce a call for this position this time. Currently management of the OMO is disaster.
ReplyDeleteI suggest mr Pozdrav for this position
DeleteThanks very much for your suggestion and recommendation. However, I do not qualify for the position. Don't have Kradeze Party membership booklet. That's main criteria to get any job in Croatia as well as Kradeze controlled part of BIH
DeleteKradeze but Croatia is in the European Union. Isnt so called "Europe" the new cradle of democracy in the west? Lol
